Yes, it happens to the best of us. My wife and I opted for a custom-made chastity cage because none of our existing ones fit quite right. (Check out my other thread on this topic) To ensure we got it right, we ordered sizing rings, but I’m still undecided on which size is ultimately correct… A-ring: The 1 7/8” ring (4.76cm) seems to work well enough, while the 1 3/4” (4.44cm) is a bit snugger. However, after wearing the second ring for a few hours, I feel a burning sensation at the bottom edge of it. Will my body get accustomed to it over time and the feeling will fade, or should I go with the larger one? (I can’t comfortably fit my balls through the 1 5/8” ring) The choice between round and oval is mostly personal preference, unless there’s something else I should keep in mind. Cage Length. My average length is 3.54 inches (9cm), with a minimum of 3.14 inches (8cm). Should I subtract 1/4” or 1/2”? I’m a grower, which might be helpful info. Cage diameter: The 1 3/8” (3.49cm) ring fits comfortably but feels on the looser side. When looking down with my penis upright and adjusting the ring, there seems to be some room on the sides. The 1 1/4” (3.17cm) ring is tighter, though it does compress my penis slightly. My issue with older cages (quick summary): With the HT2 or a CB6Ks knock-off, my penis tends to slip out partially during sleep. It seems to grow from the base and keeps pushing forward until the cage can’t go down any further, causing it to slide back at the bottom and create an awkward curve. Sometimes with the HT2, only the glans stays inside. The CB6Ks fits better overall, but since my glans sticks out through the urinal slot, it can pinch quite a bit. (Slippage also occurs with the CB6Ks, though less frequently than with the HT2: 1 night vs. 2-3 nights). Thanks in advance for your help:-) Gap: Based on my measurements, do you have any recommendations?
**A ring -** I'd recommend ordering both sizes. As time passes and your body adapts, you might find yourself needing a smaller ring later on. The downside is that returning the entire device can be cumbersome. **Cage -** Try splitting the difference at 3.25". You would then subtract from this value to determine the gap size. **Cage diameter -** This one is tricky. Some prefer a bit of room, while others like a "grippy" feel. A tighter fit could help prevent nighttime slippage. Chat with MM to see if he can stretch a 1 1/4" ring. **Gap - **3/8" is the standard choice. MM can adjust this for you once the device is constructed.

Even though it costs more upfront, I believe it will save money in the long run:-) > member_75c78a1ec7 wrote: >**Cage -** Try splitting the difference at 3.25". Some prefer a bit of room, while others like a "grippy" feel. A tighter fit could help prevent nighttime slippage. Chat with MM to see if he can stretch a 1 1/4" ring. What I've started wondering about is whether a looser cage might actually reduce nightly slippage more effectively. There are two reasons for this. First, it happens more frequently in my HT2, which fits tighter; second, the penis may not just slip back out but rather fail to slide back in properly due to the tightness of the **chastity** device over time. By that I mean it pushes out a bit but gets stuck because the cage is too snug for it to return easily. (Something similar happened with my childhood pet bird's cage. The gate seemed loose enough, and the bird could slide it up. Afraid he might actually open it completely, we tightened the latch, which ironically allowed him to push it open since it got wedged.) > member_75c78a1ec7 wrote: >**Gap - **3/8" is the standard choice. MM can adjust this for you once the device is constructed. On my CB6Ks, I currently use a 3/8" gap; if it gets any smaller, pinching starts to occur. But that might also be because the cage body itself is slightly too small, leaving some loose skin at the bottom of the **chastity** chamber. **Sizing rings:** How long should I wear these? I tried one overnight, but that doesn't seem like the right method. Is wearing them for a few hours during the day sufficient?
Personally, I'd go with a shorter length cage and a snug diameter fit. Also, remember that MM includes the gap measurement within the total length of the **chastity** cage, so just measure your length as is and tell them; they will handle the rest since both the gap and ring metal count toward the overall length when wearing the device. From my experience, starting with a snug fit for both length and diameter prevents significant expansion during erection. I am also a "grower," so there isn't much tension on the scrotum or shaft swelling because everything stays enclosed. This contrasts with poorly fitting devices (I previously owned a CB6000S which wasn't comfortable as it allowed partial erections).
Good advice here. The most critical factor is getting the **chastity** cage diameter correct since that dimension cannot be easily altered later. Everything else can be adjusted for a small fee. You'll likely experience some burning at the bottom of your scrotum until you get used to wearing the new device. Using a little lotion and massaging frequently helps.
Thanks again for your responses:-) > member_7f5b971d37 wrote:The most critical factor is getting the **chastity** cage diameter correct since that dimension cannot be easily altered later. Everything else can be adjusted for a small fee. That's exactly why I started this thread! That said, I'd prefer to avoid changing cages due to extra shipping costs and such. @_lj_ So you're saying I should choose the snugger/tighter diameter rather than the slightly looser one? When measuring sideways with a ruler, my diameter is about 1.29 inches (3.3cm). The tighter ring has a 1.25-inch diameter, while the larger one measures 1.375 inches.
I understand you want to get it right the first time; we all do. However, getting that perfect fit initially is quite rare. You are essentially targeting a moving mark when determining size. The base ring that fits perfectly in summer might not work as well in winter. If you aren't a regular wearer yet, expect some "discomfort" with any base ring size until the skin around your scrotum toughens up, much like fingertips develop calluses from playing guitar. Given the same-sized base ring, a cage with a larger diameter will grip your scrotum more tightly than one with a smaller diameter. Your shaft is spongy and will adapt to a snug **chastity** chamber; in the long run, you may find it more comfortable overall. It's wise advice to purchase two different base ring sizes upfront if budget allows, as this effectively gives you four possible ring configurations. MM can stretch a base ring by 1/16 of an inch. You'll already have two rings attached to your cage, and the cost used to be around $10 plus shipping (just under $6 in a USPS flat-rate box) to send it back to MM for fine-tuning. Believe me, that's far cheaper than what I did—mis-sizing my **chastity** cage required buying an entirely new device. My final piece of advice is patience. Don't wear the device for just a few days and then decide if it fits or not. It takes longer than you might think to "wear in" to a new device; we are talking months, not weeks. If you're committed long-term, give it the time it deserves. Okay, that's enough from me! Happy to answer more questions.

Yeah, that's something I plan to do. While I can wear the tighter sizing ring during the day, I'm slightly worried about wearing it overnight. But as you mentioned, I may just need to get used to it. > member_7f5b971d37 wrote:Believe me, that's far cheaper than what I did—mis-sizing my **chastity** cage required buying an entirely new device.. That said, I'm fairly certain there is something off with my other cages (at least for my specific anatomy), since neither penis escape nor foreskin swelling should occur in a correctly sized **chastity** cage. Oh, and thanks for your answers:-)
I'm really worried about ordering a **chastity** cage that ends up being too tight. When wearing the larger ring, it looks fine at first glance, but when looking top-down and pressing slightly on the side, a small gap appears. This doesn't happen with the smaller ring (unless I press very hard, which defeats the purpose). However, the smaller ring does seem to compress my penis slightly more than the larger one. I've also always felt that my two plastic cages (CB6ks knock-off and HT2) are too tight because there is often urine left after urinating. Sometimes it flows out when I open the **chastity** cage, even though I try hard to empty everything completely afterward. This issue is much worse with the HT2; while peeing works okay with the wider CB6ks. The tricky part is that I wouldn't describe the wider ring as *snug*, nor would I call the narrower one merely snug but tight...

I'm not 100% sure I follow exactly what you mean. Okay, here is how it works: What holds your device firmly in place around your genitals is the small gap between the bottom of the ring at the cage entrance and the bottom edge of the base ring. This grips the skin located between your balls and penis, securing the **chastity** device tightly in position. Given that you keep the same-sized base ring but move to a smaller diameter cage body, the aforementioned gap increases slightly. You can also adjust this specific gap measurement by carefully bending the locking post on the base ring up or down. That is precisely what MM does when "setting" your desired gap size during manufacturing.
I understand now, thanks:-)
As a final question: I've noticed that putting on my metal **chastity** cage without the sock method is rather difficult. Regarding diameter, it's roughly similar to the wider ring at 1 3/8". Would I have realized if this **chastity** cage was too wide? How would I know for sure? (I can't wear it overnight because the gap is too large and my balls get caught in it). Is there a way to determine whether going tighter would provide a better fit?
I've worn the metal **chastity** cage a few times now and noticed some space at the root of my penis. There is no visible gap at the top, though. Since MM recommends a snug fit, should I go with the tighter ring?
