Hello everyone,

Sorry if this has come up before, but I couldn’t quite pin down the correct answer. I recently picked up the htv2 with both the 45mm and 50mm rings, while still using my cb6ks which had the fourth largest ring available. The issue was that I never kept the cb6ks on for more than a day at a time, so I didn’t get the ring size quite right, but I went ahead with the htv2 anyway. I’ve been in the htv2 for about a week now. For the first few days, I was super excited and tried to fit everything into the 45mm ring. However, I noticed a burning feeling on the underside of my balls even though I used plenty of lube. Everything felt nice and tight, with nothing slipping out soon. Then I switched to the 50mm ring, which is much more comfortable. I don’t need extra lube now, although it seems to sit lower; however, in that position, my cock can emerge from the top. When I tried going back to the 45mm, it remained quite tight. In fact, when I run my fingers over my scrotum with the 45mm on, I barely feel it—I only notice it if I scrape my nails against the balls.

So should I stick with the 50mm or give the 45mm another try?

Not an HT user here, but speaking from experience with the CB3000: I began with a 1-7/8" ring because the 2" one allowed the device to slip down too easily, while the 1-3/4" option was excessively tight. Honestly, it hurt. Over time, I've stretched out a little bit. When I switched to a stainless steel cuff ring, I sized it down to 1-13/16. It wasn't a huge difference, but it provided comfort and helped keep the device's weight in place. Recently, I moved to a completely different device featuring a circular-looking cuff when viewed from the front, though it is more ergonomic from the side profile. They offered sizes of 40, 45, and 50 mm. The 45mm ring is just slightly over 1-3/4", which I initially worried would be too tight. However, combining that cuff shape with my own skin stretching has resulted in a very comfortable fit. I won't claim it's perfect all the time—I do sometimes feel it at 4 AM—but it is now the most comfortable piece of gear I own. I recommend practicing wearing the 45 mm ring whenever you can. You might need to swap rings occasionally, but try sticking with it for a month to see if your body adapts.

Does that imply I should put the 45mm on periodically to help stretch it out? I've been taking breaks from the cage for a while because I noticed the 45mm was causing significant abrasion on the underside of my scrotum, leading to some redness and soreness.

I mean you should aim to wear the 45 MM as much as possible. Doing it occasionally won't make a big difference. Just switch back to the 50 MM when wearing the smaller ring becomes too much.
