I’ve been quite pleased with my A272 tube ( it feels at least as comfortable as my previous CB3000, and perhaps even more secure. Still, we always wonder if there’s something just a touch better out there. I’ve spotted what appears to be a Fort cage that has been cut and welded to accommodate the integrated lock cuff ring, which might be worth trying for fun, despite likely being heavier. At the same time, I’m considering a Holy Trainer style cage, mainly because so many others seem to appreciate their fit. I found a shorter stainless steel version ( that’s affordable enough to test out. However, I’d love any input from HT experts regarding ring size. For the devices linked above, I go with a 45 mm (1.77”) ring because it offers good comfort and keeps the cage positioned well. But since the HT slips underneath the cuff ring, is there a trick to determining the right size? The listed sizes are “about” 40, 45, and 50 mm—I assume this variance is due to the ring not being perfectly circular. Also, I see the unit weighs around 300 grams (approx. 10 oz). Any advice?

If you look through the photos, you'll see they list the longest dimension of the 'ring' as 45mm, meaning the shorter side is a bit less. I don't have the math expertise to calculate the inner area compared to a true 45mm circular ring.

I don't have the math skill to compute the inner area as opposed to a 45mm round ring. I also searched our boards for comparisons between CBX style round rings and HT rings; it seemed like the consensus was that 45mm is more popular. I recall someone mentioning they wore either No 2 or No 3 ring (1-7/8 and 1-3/4) before switching to 45mm, though I lack confirmation for this. I used with some search terms but didn't find anything specific.
Holy Trainer previously had a chart on their website correlating CB6000 rings to HT rings, but I couldn't locate it yesterday.
Regarding ring sizes, I purchased this cage ... 2017-12-07 and after some limited testing, so far it's a good fit. The issue is that I used the ring size for my CB-6000S and it might be *slightly* too large. I should have ordered an extra couple of rings just in case. Anyway, I need to apply some lube to get the ring on, but this causes "slippage" over the top that doesn't seem to resolve. It feels like I need lube for insertion and then want it gone afterwards. Are there different types of lube worth trying? I'm also curious if a smaller ring size would suffer from the same issue. Any thoughts appreciated. Cheers ps, sorry, couldn't figure out how to embed the long url:cry:
The link doesn't seem to allow viewing directly, probably because you linked from your shopping cart. Could you try copying the url straight from the original product page?
Alright, one more HT question. I'm now looking at this model: ... 19717.html To those who wear the HT - do you keep your base rings on when taking off the cage? Does it function like a cock ring? How well does that work in practice?
Tom, back when I was wearing my HTv2, I would take the ring off as well. The fitting edges for the tube were uncomfortable for both of us.
Yeah, enough responses have convinced me against that idea. My second option was to buy an inexpensive plastic version and cut the tube, leaving just enough material to fit back into the lock section. But that involves fiddly adjustments which aren't exactly sexy when you're dealing with them.

No, I decided against it because it doesn't appear I could leave the cuff ring on as a cock ring. Also, it remains a closed tube design - I think my next device will be some kind of open cage, but I haven't found anything that appeals to me yet.
