I’ve been sharing a lot of late, so some of you might already know I own a JailBird and have been aiming for around-the-clock locking for nearly three months. The reasons behind this won’t be revisited here. However, keeping the JailBird on constantly is almost too much for me. My issue lies in discomfort along the bottom portion of the base ring, which only eases when I carefully shift the scrotum skin underneath. That area feels extremely tight and glossy (since it’s shaved), as though adhering to the metal. Here’s the mystery: I can sleep with the JailBird on all night without any trouble at all. Likewise, wearing sweatpants in the evening is completely fine. It seems specific to daytime hours when I’m working—either sitting at a desk or doing light bench work. Regardless of my chastity status, I need to make a living and literally cannot afford to be so distracted by pain that I lose focus. Initially, I switched from briefs to boxers, but that didn’t help; in fact, the lack of support created a sense of strain from the JailBird’s weight hanging freely (I wonder why tracksuit bottoms without underwear don’t cause this?). The cage itself is flawless. I used the sizing rings to determine my base ring size and faced similar issues before ordering a larger one, which brings us to today. I’m waiting for another ring that sits between my first two in size, hoping it helps. Based on how fingers slide through them, both current rings seem slightly too large rather than too small. The gap was confirmed correct, and the second and third rings are engineered to maintain an identical gap despite differing base diameters (sorry MM, but shipping costs and transit times made hiring a local metalworker a smarter move). Other areas feel fine; it’s just this single spot where skin meets metal. I really want to extend my lockup time, but I must consider daily life realities. My Lady doesn’t want me in pain—though she accepts chastity-related discomfort. Right now, I’m locked except during work hours, aiming for 16/24/7 and eventually full-time.

I've experienced similar ring issues with various devices. Generally, jeans offer better support but are less forgiving, especially during long periods of sitting at a desk or in the car. Your skin may swell slightly and then contract, leading to pinching. A bit of lubricant often helps, though it can cause the device to slide down if applied excessively. So far, the most comfortable ring I've used is this wavy circle design on the A272 device Its width provides extra surface area to prevent slipping. The wave pattern offers ergonomic comfort while feeling tighter than a standard round ring of my usual size. MM makes double-ring base options that might suit you. You could potentially order just the dual ring and test it before having it modified for your JB.

Adjusting to full-time wear takes months. Even after that period, I sometimes apply a drop or two of Aveeno moisturizing lotion to the lower section of my base ring. Occasionally, skin gets tucked under the ring where it hasn't been before and becomes tender. Pulling gently on the skin helps in some cases but not others. Trust me, the key is preventing discomfort from escalating into chafing or blistering, no matter how determined you are to stay locked. My skin, like yours, appears smooth and shiny there too. I also find shaving that area beneficial even if it isn't completely bare. Hair on the lower scrotum can crawl under the ring and pull, which irritates the skin as well. Stay patient, use your judgment, and you'll succeed.

I suspect it comes down to your trousers or daily ergonomics. Trial and error is probably the best way to pinpoint it. Personally, I found tight bikini-style briefs easier because they hold everything securely in place. Conversely, you might need looser pants around the crotch for work. It could also be heat buildup while working—perhaps your office attire breathes less well or sitting with legs closer together restricts airflow compared to home life. Cooling yourself down should help, as does keeping the area moisturized. There are various base ring styles too: double-rings, oval rings like Tom linked, and others. I haven't had enough experience to give more specific advice, just brainstorming possibilities.
