Hey everyone, Quick intro here. I’ve been playing the chastity game for a while, but this is my first time on these forums. Currently single, though lucky enough to have a close friend acting as my key holder. I’m based in the USA and lead a pretty standard life outside of chastity… I’ve experimented with extended lock periods before, but over New Year’s I started what might be my longest yet. My KH promised not to give up control until January 1st, 2012. Fingers crossed I keep my mind intact! Eager to connect with others living the chastity lifestyle here. You can also find me under this same handle on Fetlife and ChastityMansion.

Hopefully I survive it with my sanity intact! What exactly are you wearing? Also, this creates an interesting setup. I'm unsure about your social life details, but how would dating work if a potential partner comes along?

Hi Tom - yes, 'normal' is probably generous! I spent months thinking about the social and dating aspects before starting. I do want to date, and it's likely better for a partner to know my kink early rather than late, but there's always that worry: what if I meet "the one" and this self-imposed chastity ruins it? Well, we'll see! It should make for some good discussion posts.

I would like to date and I suppose its better that a potential partner finds out about my kink sooner than later but I also have a lingering fear that I could meet "the one" and my self-imposed chastity could blow it for me. That's exactly why I question fixed lock periods, even for couples. It limits control too much; essentially taking power away from the people involved. Having said that, if you're dating partners who understand kink, it should work fine. Some scenarios might actually be quite appealing. Of course, imagine meeting someone next month and having them wonder why you're being so proper... 8-)

Spot on Tom! I doubt it'll be long before a girl starts thinking, "Hmm, is he gay?" Here comes the obligatory Seinfeld reference: ___________
