Is going with a compact size preferable?

I came across this on thumper’s blog recently and have been checking out some of the reviews as well.. Before, I owned a Jailbird - it was about 1.75 inches long, which gives roughly 2” when you account for the gap. Thumper (along with others) has pointed out that opting for a really small size actually helps during nighttime erections and keeps things more hidden… I fall into the ‘grower’ category rather than the ‘shower’… (though I’m just above average in height!) For what it's worth, MsM has bought me several very compact devices to wear, including the one you linked. They work great for me BUT I’m not called "little dickie" without reason; nowadays I can’t handle much more than 4" when erect and am quite tiny when soft. The main challenge She’s faced is finding a device that is small enough AND has a sufficiently narrow gap, plus being constructed well so the gap doesn't expand due to loose connections between the cage and A-ring. She finally found this one which I’ve been wearing for over a year with no problems at all. I really like its ergonomic A-ring; it’s sturdy and affordable enough just to try out. By the way, MsM puts a drop of fine oil on the lock every time I bathe and works the key back and forth a few times, so we’ve never had any issues with these locks failing. Thanks for the response.... what about hygiene? Does that become a problem when everything is bunched up inside? (I’m circumcised which might help...)

I am also cut and there are absolutely zero hygiene issues with the s/s cage. MsM lets me remove just the cage (while leaving the A-ring in place) about once a month to clean the inside of the cage and get a cleaner shave for myself (i’m smooth from crotch up to shoulders. MsM’s ld

It's pretty much the consensus now. As long as you can keep it clean in some manner or other, yes, smaller is definitely preferable. It’s certainly fine to go shorter (you can compress most devices down to an inch or two), and going a bit narrower works okay too but requires more care so that blood flow isn't restricted when you get an erection.

I believe that smaller is certainly the way to go. I've been wearing a MM Jail Bird with a 1-1/4 inch cage for over four years now. Too much attention is paid to fitting cage length. Shorter is definitely superior. Just make sure you get the right diameter.

Regarding long-term wear with the MMJB -- Tame Lion, do you have or have had any issues with skin irritation from having your skin "scrunched" up for a long time? My JB is 1 3/4", perfect for peeing and comfortable to wear while working, exercising, etc. But it causes the skin to fold over itself and become red and tender.

I'm happy staying in this one. It's quite small and with a ball ring of 41mm it sits comfortably and is easy to put on, but again, I am very petite down there so only the tiniest cages suit me. Definitely no room for growth. Yet I'm still just beginning my chaste life journey so there is some adjustment period. Not the cage itself; that fits nicely, but the ball ring can cause a bit of burning. However, I have read that one has to break in and get used to the ring......

D & c - The usual suspect for "ball burn" is a gap that's too small between the base ring and the bottom of the cage.

@WifesIsVanilla But I feel the burning below in my scrotum? And yes, there is only a very limited space between the cage and A-ring. However I need to go very small; my member is only around 1 inch flaccid sometimes even less than that, and maybe 4.5-5 inches when fully aroused. Also I enjoy being "Squished" in the cage, but not under the A-ring.... However since these Chinese knock-offs are so inexpensive, I'll try ordering one with a 45mm A-ring and see how it goes. Eventually I guess I may go custom made. But for now the cheap ones work fine to break oneself in both mentally and physically.

FWIW, I strongly suggest choosing an end design that looks more like Slave D’s device rather than a radial-spoke one. The wider opening allows urination without making a huge mess every time. For me personally, I can’t aim very well even when everything aligns perfectly, so I still sit down to pee. But with a radial design, my stream turns into a lawn sprinkler!

I have two custom cages and I prefer the smaller ones. 1. They fit better under clothes. 2. Because I’m a grower, I like catching the erection while still small. 3. It feels wonderful to be compacted. I love that "full" sensation. However, the smaller cage can cause bruising if my wife gets too physical and I get overly excited.

D & c - I know, go figure. I emailed Mature Metal when I had this problem. They told me what needed to be done. I sent the device back and received it in 6 days and voila . . . problem solved.

Smaller is definitely better for me. My first cage was too long and allowed painful semi-erections, particularly at night. I'd describe myself as either a super-grower (or perhaps, super-shrinker) since I'm 7.5 inches when fully erect but barely an inch when completely flaccid. Because of this, it's better I think to stop the erection before my willy gets any ideas.

I can't speak for that specific model. I prefer the more narrow fitting curved design. A tighter fit and curve will make an erection painful. As for nocturnal emissions (wet dreams) my husband still experiences them with a limp and locked cock.

A year ago I discovered the Holy Trainer in the V3 version and bought my first device (Original, expensive but soooo worth the difference) which was a 45mm ring and a 'Small' sized tube, which at the time was the smallest. It was the best and most wearable I had ever had. Then earlier this year they produced a new smaller tube named 'Nano', I purchased one in a special baby pink colour, with the smaller 400mm ring. The Nano tube is a bit smaller than the Small one. 2 weeks ago they announced a new, even smaller, tube very aptly named 'The Nub'. I purchased a transparent one, as the special baby pink was going to take 10 more days and I was so excited and eager. How right I was, it has now arrived and is just perfect. MUCH smaller than the Nano and just so snug. All that can be seen are the balls! I am now thinking that the 40mm baby pink ring I am using seems too big, possibly due to the different lay of the balls. So now have to decide if to only purchase the smallest 36mm ring or go for a whole The Nub/36mm in baby pink. It is symptomatic that they have added two smaller cages to their range, as opposed to bringing out bigger ones. I can but utterly recommend The Holy Trainer and for me 'The Nub'

If you can afford something that isn't super-cheap, I can really recommend a Holy Trainer V3 with the new 'The Nub' tube. I have been wearing it a few days now and have had no issues of comfort at all, and it is seriously small for guys like us - BTW I am in diapers too.

I’m looking to buy a Holy Trainer but I’m undecided on which size. I‘ve used a 2” custom Jail Bird successfully and a CB6000s that’s a little too long. Just wondering if you have experience with either of those and could help me make some comparisons to the Holy Trainer sizing.

I would guess that the 'Small' size is going to be similar to the 2" Jail Bird and the CB6000s, so probably the 'Nano' could be ideal - The 'Nub' is seriously tiny. Love to help further if I can. You also have to choose the ring diameter. The HT has an anatomical oval shape - way better than round, in my opinion. georgie boi

So I already know a CB6000s is too long for me; so if the HT small is similar to that I'd definitely go with nano. My 2" JB fits well... I'm thinking the nano might be similar to this or slightly shorter which would be ok. I definitely don't want longer.

The cage length on the A271 from DHGate is 1.75 inch. I fit completely when flaccid and it has been very comfortable so far. I have been trying it on and off for about 3 weeks now and it allows very little erection inside the cage. The pressure can be quite frustrating.

For years I thought small would not work for me but this year I learned differently. I went from the Fort to HT2 then an HT2 metal copy; tried a couple of chinese ones and have now, until we can get one made custom, settled on the S87 from House of Denial. Personal experience: smaller is better. No erections permitted, no real room for arousal other than being aware that you are aroused generally feels much better. Being in something more snug is I have come to realize a much better feeling than banging about inside the Fort. Being smaller it gets less in the way and far less often when I ride my motorcycle which is my only transport.

I am locked 24/7 in a Mature Metal Jailbird. I followed Mistress Mature Metals fitting directions to get measurements. It fit perfectly the day it arrived. I find it very comfortable compared to the cheap Chinese one I started with. I only take it out when my wife wants penetrated.

Measure on the short end of flaccid, and go 1/8 more narrow. Set it and forget it if you like. The Contender is amazing and has a PA option.

If I were you I'd go for one of the chinese products. They are cheap enough to justify some trial and error considering when you get what suits you can use it, or find a similar western made one, either of which you may then be using for quite a while. Which is exactly what we did. I was very pleasantly surprised by the increased comfort of going smaller; My Lady has bought one that's even smaller and it has proven so far to be one if not the most comfortable one I've worn since the cb-2000 first came out.
