Tighter Base Ring

I’ve been toggling between a Custom Chastity nylon cage and one from China. The Chinese model has proven surprisingly cozy, but lately in the heat it’s felt a bit loose. Just got another device with an identical cage size, but sporting a 40 mm ring instead of my other’s 45 mm. That tighter fit is really more comfortable!

In my experience, you need a smaller ring as time goes on and your body adjusts. Right now, I struggle because very few options offer rings under 40mm; I'd love to test sizes like 38 or even 36. MsM’s ld

For me personally, my scrotum won't fit through anything smaller than 42mm, so dropping down requires a hinge design. Some folks say hinges are problematic; I suppose it's time to find out for myself...

I've tried hinged rings before. While I wouldn't personally want to return to that style, the hinge was never a deal-breaker. My sac is usually dry (I'm not sure why); it's rare for me to get irritated by the hinge mechanism. Also, I never bothered with those small rubber tubes designed to cover the hinge. It's possible my assessment of the 45mm base ring being too big was correct; if so, going smaller *with* a hinge might have caused issues back then. Plus, I keep that area shaved clean, so there are no hairs to get caught or pull. The hinge never snagged or pinched any skin. What I'm trying to convey is that while many people dislike hinged rings, their problems seem personal and situational rather than universal guarantees. As for the OP, I'd love to experiment with a smaller base ring on my MMJB. Based on everything I've read and seen, I believe my current base ring is likely too large. I'm still undecided if the cage itself is oversized too. Every day from about 2 PM to 8 PM, the cage rests heavily on my balls, sitting lower than I prefer. During other times of the day, it feels perfect. When aroused—especially during teasing—the penis can turn purple and look quite alarming. This is exactly why I want to try a smaller base ring and see what changes. However, I don't want to part with my MMJB just to have someone fit a new, smaller ring for me. Heehee. I've become too attached.

I've been intrigued by the "if you're going to trap the balls, trap them" approach used in the Steelwerks Creature cage. It features not just a ring but also... I'm unsure of the name for it. At least there are no recurring costs!
