Looking to upgrade my cage.. ..any ideas?

Evening all.:) Because my current device (this one) is silicone with somewhat rough edges, it becomes quite uncomfortable to wear even after a brief period. My Master and I are still new to this whole setup, but I feel like I’m already in too deep to back out now (thanks mostly to the lock:p) I’ve been browsing online since early this week and have been actively looking for an upgrade since yesterday. Although I checked Amazon, Alibaba, and other sites, many options are metal cages that seem a bit pricey for us given we just started. So, I’m leaning toward plastic. We have already spotted a strong contender called the Holy Trainer because it looks like such a good fit. Initially, I wanted to go with an imitation model; even if the original is excellent, 165€ feels steep. There are many knockoffs available on Amazon, Alibaba, and eBay, though most listings lack size information. This leaves me slightly puzzled: some vendors only list the tube length without clarifying the total length. (If anyone could clarify this for me, I’d be very grateful) Right now, my top pick is this one here, but the sizing gives me pause. A few sellers noted that their small version measures around 8.5cm long, which would suit me perfectly, yet the linked device states it is 48mm in length.. ..but I suspect this refers only to the “full” tube section rather than the overall measurement? I hope my meaning comes across clearly; please excuse any spelling or grammar errors as English isn’t my first language. Thanks for all the assistance, much appreciated!

Metal cages like the Peniskaefig look a bit uncomfortable, and I can tell you'd want to get out of one. You might be able to tweak it using very fine sandpaper, but your options for improving comfort are somewhat limited. The Holy Trainer gets good reviews. @Tom Allen recently shared links to four metal devices here that cost so little you could buy all four for the price of a single Holy Trainer. Search for his post; I believe it was in @Kitten's device advice thread. With some sanding on one of those metal options, you might find a satisfactory temporary solution until you're ready to invest in something fully custom.

@Schnoff sorry to bother you, but I wanted to ask if you happen to know if this device is (approximately) the same size as this picture here. @Minou - I'll let someone else answer. While I am trying to be helpful, I don't wear a device myself. Bear prefers focusing on obedience, so I only come with permission even though I have access. That is and has been an ongoing process:).
