I was curious. Setting aside the shrinking idea which is likely just a myth, are there other health issues that can arise from using chastity over a long period? How about skin problems? Irritation specifically? They don’t need to be serious or permanent, but based on your personal experience, did you encounter anything notable worth mentioning? Also: What’s the best way to handle sleep loss caused by nighttime erections? How much time does it take before you find a solution?

I've been in enforced chastity for just under three months. I still wake up due to nighttime erections, but less frequently now, especially since Kitten locked me into HER HTv3. Getting the fit right has made a big difference. I occasionally get irritation on my scrotum from the ring, but applying Monistat 7 Chafing Relief Powder Gel clears it up pretty quickly. There have been instances where the ring rubbed raw spots on my sack that required unlocking and applying a cream like Bacitracin or Neosporin for a day or two.

A device that fits well should be risk-free as long as you take proper care of it. I believe the biggest danger is becoming too precious or obsessed with 24/7 locking. This means it becomes so important to keep the device on that one starts taking risks, neglecting chafing, cuts, and hygiene in the process. If you feel pain or notice skin issues like chafing or pinching, take the device off until your Family Jewels heal up again. And stay fresh. I prefer an open stainless steel (SS) device for several reasons: weight and design are good, but also because its open ringed structure allows me to easily see what's happening down there. It's one thing to suffer the embarrassment of medics finding you in a chastity belt, but it's another level of humiliation entirely if you have to show them an injured cock that is your own fault (though I hasten to add this hasn't happened to me personally:-) )

As mentioned before, with proper care and fit there really shouldn't be many issues. My husband has been locked up every day for five years now. In the beginning, he had some edema around his cage's gap, but that only happened once or twice early on and hasn't returned since. With longer-term wear (going months without release), he gets occasional redness or a sore here and there, nothing excessive enough to make us stop anything. Seriously, the nighttime issue isn't bad enough to call it deprivation. Hubby might wake up one or two nights a week (sometimes, not every week) needing to use the bathroom or do some mental math, but he's not lying awake for hours with a raging caged erection trying to break free. Hope that helps!:)

I've pretty much experienced everything people have mentioned, but not with this current device. I find the lack of issues vaguely sinister...

I’ve had a swollen prostate for quite some time now, but I’m reaching an age where that’s not particularly unusual. My doctor didn’t seem too concerned about it. And I can’t say for certain if it’s related to the cage or our play. As far as cuts and abrasions go, those tend to resolve themselves rather quickly with no long-term effects. Once, however, I had to use the bathroom and my cage blocked the flow slightly, causing some minor bleeding that hasn't happened since. Now I make sure the pathway for urination is as unobstructed as possible.
