I’d like to include images of an item I put up for sale on the Marketplace, but I’m having trouble getting them into my post. Could someone walk a technologically challenged person through it step by step?

Simply drag and drop the images directly into the message box.

Launch the forum editor in your web browser alongside your file explorer. Position them next to each other. Locate the desired picture, click and hold down the left mouse button (or just the single button on a Mac), then drag it over into the editor window and release. Hopefully the image isn't too big; we do have size limits for pictures, though I can't recall the exact limit offhand. If you encounter an error message, open the file in your picture editing software and use its menu to reduce the file size.

Thanks, Tom. I did attempt to upload them following your advice, but the files were too large. Now I'm trying to figure out how to shrink them.

Look for a Resize option within your picture editor. If an image is (for instance) 2400 x 1200 pixels, try cutting the dimensions in half (to 1200 x 600) and see if that helps.

Tom - I have a question. Nothing major, just curious. What do the various Icons mean next to each forum topic post? Specifically, I'm referring to the grey flame inside a blue ring, or a red ring with a red flame, a blue ring with lines in it, and a red star on the ring. Thanks

I had to step away from my phone and open a browser to recall this. Those are "Topic Icons." I thought there was a legend for them somewhere, but it seems missing. @Schnoff likely lost the key during one of his many upgrades over time. The lines in the ring indicate text-only posts; they will turn into flames once the topic gets active. The grey flame marks a "hot" topic with at least 25 reply comments. A small star means you have already replied to that topic. Red icons show unread or new content. Some feature an "i", indicating mods have marked them as informational posts. And naturally, the lock symbol designates posts set by mods to stay pinned, usually at the top of a forum section. Also, a small bar graph under the topic title signals that there is a poll involved. Did I cover all of them?
