We don’t have grandchildren yet but our niece has a 2 year old son who we see a lot. He’s not that aware yet but sooner or later he’ll bump into that hard metal cage and ask “What’s that?” or “Why is that hard?”

I’m wondering how I will deal with this, and I am hoping some of you might have good suggestions.

My grandson just turned four. Over the years he has brushed up against my cage several times without realizing it at all. I believe that only an "aware" adult would even notice if they had accidental contact. Honestly, I think you are overthinking this. The biggest challenges for me have been household chores and sitting to urinate (which is pretty obvious when you consider how long you stay in the bathroom and use toilet paper to clean up—I am expected to sit to pee, which helps avoid messes anyway). People have commented on my housework habits but not so much about the toilet side of things. I've decided to just say "the older I get, the easier it is for me to sit and stay tidy." It's all part of the fun! Chastity fits right in.

It depends on your device. Lower profile devices that angle downward likely won't cause any trouble. I've worn a device for nearly twenty years now, and no one has ever seemed to notice. Well... except once at my wife's office holiday party when a friend had to squeeze past me while I was pressed against the wall. She definitely felt something hard underneath there; I'm assuming she thought it was just part of being me.

My husband has used his phone as an excuse before when there's been a bump or anything. Once the remote landed right in his crotch with a clunk lol. The worst moment was actually when my daughter found the real steel cage back then, she was younger at the time. Oops lol

Lady M, Could you write more about what happened when your daughter found the cage? How old was she? How old is she now? What was said then? Do you and your husband speak with her about your current activities? Thanks

Lol it wasn't all that exciting but we did freak out a little bit. That's where we wrote about it. She's 13 now and never mentioned it again. And no, we don't talk to either of our children about anything sexual like that.

"Oh, that's a valve guard to protect a sprinkler from damage." It is kind of true and just uninteresting enough to kill any curiosity.
