Discussion on platforms for captioned images

I was curious to know what platforms everyone relies on for captions. I’ve been using ImageFap, and more lately Tumblr. But with their new rules, Tumblr seems to be fading away a bit. What sites are you all turning to?

I've begun collecting and reposting more moderate chastity-related captioned photos on a fresh Tumblr site. Interestingly, Tumblr marked that one as "Explicit" too. So now I have an even newer site where I'm re-uploading images while carefully checking for accidental nipples (or whatever else counts). I only launched it this weekend, so there isn't much content yet, but I've queued up a few hundred posts.

Actually, most of them aren't my original captions. I collected quite a few back in December when I thought Tumblr might close down everything, and saved them to drafts on a new blog. When I started posting for the queue, many ended up getting flagged too, and eventually Tumblr labeled the whole new blog as Explicit. Now I'm re-uploading pictures to this brand-new blog, keeping a closer watch on what they allow or reject. One just got flagged despite having zero nudity.:-\ I did take some of the more explicit captioned pics and overlaid text onto less risqué photos. From there, I started creating my own captions for simpler images. I'm feeling a bit frustrated because I used to be that guy who complained when people broke the original chain, but now it seems breaking the chain is actually the safest bet.

The Tumblr algorithms are completely crazy. I've had three posts flagged in just two days, and none of them showed even a hint of nipples or genitals. I disputed one, and they admitted it was an error. For the other two, I'll just delete them and try reposting later. These were all queue posts. The annoying part is that they get flagged while still in the queue, but there's no easy way for me to review them unless I scroll through the damn queue page by page.

Off topic a bit, but I just read your blog post from today (on vanilla). What an excellent piece. I've been thinking about this myself as my journey progresses and wondering how others define their approach to the whole chastity subject. Interestingly, I'm actually having more sex in these last 8 weeks or so since starting out, so I can hardly claim absolute chaste status, though I have had far fewer orgasms. I feel more fulfilled and love being physically reconnected with my wife; any frustration is purely physical—a constant state of horniness that's kind of enjoyable on its own terms. Anyway, I'll shut up now and let the thread return to your captions, which by the way scare me a bit—I don't know if I can wrap my head around years without cumming or never cumming again—but they certainly get my mind moving. I haven't delved into it too much, but Mrs Edge and I constantly egg each other on about this. That's how a month turns into three, then six, then a year; and as Mrs Edge says, if I can last through the first year, the second one should be easier...

Speaking of captions... Tumblr is a mess right now. A lot of the pictures I've saved originally came from blogs that are dead, deactivated, or completely taken down. So I'm just queuing everything up to reblog. Then one pic pops up, and the original caption writer leaves a comment. > "Stolen from me." *sigh* I've seen this guy's comments elsewhere too. He operates under the delusion that anyone who doesn't reblog his pictures directly from his own blog is stealing them. It's amusing because he has watermarks on all of his images. You know, as if captions are literary masterpieces equal to Tolstoy, Hemingway, or Barbara Cartland. Would the models or photographers mind? Don't get me wrong—I think many captions show wit and creativity, and authors absolutely deserve to be upset if someone takes their phrase and claims it as their own. That said, there's an amusing irony in how most caption writers apply their words to works that are *not* public domain. As far as I know, they've taken other people's pictures; usually (though not always) from elsewhere on Tumblr—pictures for which the photographers, models, and artists probably haven't given permission for such use. Anyway, it's nothing major—just one of those annoying yet amusing things that happen on the internet.
