Discomfort and Seeking Guidance

Good afternoon everyone, For those following my Journey, I mentioned this morning that I wore the device for nine hours at work. During the commute home, it started to cause some pain. A sore ridge has formed under the scrotum. If you know a CB6K, you’ll recognize that the ring is a strange shape, which is what caused this soreness. I’m taking it off tonight to let things heal, which is unfortunate because I was hoping to break the 10-hour mark (perhaps later in the week). Although I have a CB6KL, that one has a different type of ring that feels more solid. My plan is to use a modellers file to adjust how the pin fits and then switch to this device. So here are my questions:

1. Does modifying the ring seem like the best approach?
2. If I stick with this ridge-inducing ring, what can I do to reduce the soreness? Thanks in advance.

I believe I can offer some relevant advice since I experienced something similar. I used a CB6xS knockoff model; while that might not be entirely crucial besides the fact my dick is apparently smaller than yours:D, the main reason I gave up on it was breakage. However, when the vendor offered a replacement, I chose a Holy Trainer instead due to its distinct ring shape. It proved to be a smart decision. I had almost exactly your problem—chafing at the bottom of the balls until the area became nearly hardened, as if a very thin surface scab had formed (the skin was toughening up). It seems less severe than yours and more of a "long-term" buildup rather than your likely more intense short-term reaction—I wore mine for days with milder immediate discomfort but accumulating long-term pain. This issue resolved with the Holy Trainer, although it has other problems on the opposite side at the top where my dick connects to the body, which isn't too relevant here. You can kind of see the ring design difference in this image: The shape isn't circular; instead, it's elongated downward and then flattened (so it stays secure). While it doesn't completely eliminate discomfort, it is muuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better than the CB6K. I'm not sure exactly how you plan to modify your ring, but I doubt any amount of filing will make a standard CB ring comfortable if you're experiencing this specific issue. You simply need more room at the bottom. Anatomy can be quirky; perhaps like mine, the connective tissue under your scrotum has an upside-down reverse shape rather than being circular.

I suspect almost everyone on here has dealt with that ache behind the testicles caused by the ring. I discovered that rubbing a small amount of hand lotion there made a big difference, and eventually, I reached a stage where applying it every few days was sufficient. For me, putting it on in the morning worked best, though some people prefer before sleep. Others have experimented with different ointments or lotions, so I'm sure more comments will come about what specifically helped them.

Please stop referring to it as a CB-6000; it isn't. It's an inexpensive Chinese imitation, which explains your current struggles. Referring to it as a CB6K actually does a disservice to both the manufacturer of the *genuine* product and to beginners or others who might benefit from buying authentic but hold back because 'problems' are wrongly blamed on the real item instead of being due to fakes.

As @TwistedMister pointed out, what you have is a knockoff. While CB-xxxx devices were the most popular for a while, they've lost that crown. The Holy Trainer (HT), custom steel options, and even Chinese 'stainless' steel cages have overtaken them in both popularity and quality. Back to your specific issue: aside from general build quality, the main difference is the shape of the base ring. Yours has grooves on either side, whereas a true CB-xxxx ring is solid and smooth. Filling those grooves should help, though it's tedious work. Several people have used silicone for this, but getting a smooth finish can be tricky since the texture differs significantly from the plastic. I successfully filled two rings using epoxy casting resin instead. A word of caution: you must mix the resin precisely, or it won't cure correctly. Even after fixing the grooves, you'll still need to watch out for the 'ears' on your ring breaking or the tube splitting under erection pressure. The silver lining is that this device helped you determine the correct sizing for both ring and tube, so you can now invest in a higher-quality unit with more confidence. If you prefer to stick with plastic, I support @Skip's suggestion of the Holy Trainer. I actually had good success using some cheaper knockoff versions first just to dial in my size before ordering the authentic one.

My CB6KL actually has that solid, smooth ring design. The ring itself features a circular hole for the locking pin. However, my "fake" version uses an oval-shaped locking pin. So my plan is to modify the ring so I can combine the curved base from one with the cage of this "fake." I used needle files to get it just right—it only took about 10 seconds lol. I foolishly rushed when trying it on last night and couldn't settle into a comfortable position, but I'll give it another shot today. I can source two-part epoxy resin from work that comes pre-mixed perfectly. Might try that approach. Thanks to everyone who has offered such helpful advice. It's largely trial and error at the moment.
