here’s a curious case. I tend to snore. It drives my wife crazy. On holiday I wake the children up, usually that is. Everyone complains. Yet I don’t even notice myself doing it; I just find myself awake after being punched for what seems like no cause at all. The difference? While in a cage, there is no snoring. My wife noticed this pattern and it holds true consistently. I am currently under part time lock up conditions. But the snoring has ceased completely. My guess is that lying on my side hurts less if I lift my legs when erections rouse me; perhaps without the device I would start snoring as soon as an erection occurs, whereas now I wake and adjust position immediately. Alternatively, maybe because I am more active? Leaner with some fat lost from my soft palate? Do you have any thoughts on this or has anyone else had a similar experience?
I am fairly certain it is the side sleeping position rather than the cage itself. I suffer from bad snoring but we have an articulating bed. Elevating the head stops me.
I rarely snore when on my side. On my back it can happen and she wakes me up. There is no difference whether locked or unlocked FWIW.
Most likely the case here. I think it might have altered my sleeping habits. I could only nod off while on my back; my arm went numb when lying on my side. Now, if I lie on my back caged or not, I find I cannot easily nod off. Having slept on my side for three months while caged, my subconscious mind may have decided that is the only way to get a decent night's rest. A numb arm is the lesser of two evils.
