Review of the Evotion Bijou Cock Cage

We don’t often use a cock cage in this part of town. Even with years of conditioninghttps:// behind me, I sometimes stroke myself when not allowed to. When I realized I couldn’t control the urge or was heading on extended travel, I asked Bear if I could wear one; he didn’t mind at all. My goal was a lightweight option that permitted full erections and PA anchoring while allowing some teasing access, fitting well without breaking the bank. Measuring Evotion provides a helpful measurement pagehttps:// After seeking their advice, I chose slightly smaller dimensions for both shaft diameter and cage length, which proved to be the right call. The fit is snug; it compresses me noticeably but without pain during an erection. That shorter length prevents pinching against the cock ring I wear at home.

What Evotion doesn’t request is PA height—the vertical distance from the piercing up to the center of the urethral opening. They do ask for “depth,” which is horizontal (or slightly slanted, in the Bijou’s case).

I am thicker than average. The first pin they sent with my order was part of their “foreskin” model but didn’t work at all. It measured 13mm high, causing uncomfortable compression on the glans that became outright painful when erect and trapped the foreskin, leading to pinching and eventual edema.

I ordered a replacement Titanium pin increased by 2mm. This one works much better: looking back, I should have asked for an extra 4mm (17mm total). What I currently have sits snugly at the bottom of the urethral opening when flaccid and is somewhat uncomfortable but not painfully so when erect.

Update Mar 2020: The current pin doesn’t stay comfortable beyond two days. Its midpoint rests about where the base of the urethra begins, meaning there’s still another ~3mm “pushing down” on me. After further measuring, Evotion created an 18mm PA height prototype in plastic. That height was correct, but I then found that the tip compresses my glans, causing excruciating pain when erect. Interestingly, Evotion asks for just glans length, not width or height. This could be uncomfortable for those with a larger glans dimension. They are currently making me an entirely new cage—fingers crossed. The shaft and pin dimensions are good; now the tip just needs to fit.

My advice: When ordering, specify the PA pin height (from piercing hole to middle of urethral opening). Also provide your glans height and width measured at that same spot. I’ve updated their sizing guide accordingly.

I sent this feedback to Evotion and received a somewhat generic reply: “We will sincerely take your thoughts into consideration.”

Fit and finish The cage fit well, aside from the pin height issues mentioned earlier. I originally ordered a plastic pin to save money in case adjustments were needed.

Good thinking for potential adjustment; bad choice regarding material quality. The finish on the plastic was far too rough for insertion into the urethra. Even after sanding with 600 grit and then 2,000 grit paper, it remained quite rough.

Similarly, the “edges” of the cage behind the glans were uncomfortably rough. Some additional sanding smoothed these out enough to be comfortable against penile skin. If I didn’t have a foreskin, this might have been quite unpleasant—though perhaps not; I’ve heard cut men become less sensitive.

When I shared this feedback, Evotion seemed surprised that my finish was too rough for them. I suggested they consider tumble-polishing their devices post-manufacture.

For the finish: Expect to do some sanding yourself. Sensitivity varies by individual.

The first pin didn’t fit at all (see Measurements above). I ordered a replacement Titanium pin, 2mm higher. However, upon arrival, it physically wouldn’t pass through the intended hole in the cage, which was surprising. The reason is that the Titanium pin has a “lip” (likely due to manufacturing) that the plastic and plated pins lack, blocking passage. I had to elongate the hole using a 500 grit jewelry file I happened to have nearby. This really didn’t feel bespoke; I hadn’t expected to need filing. Sanding is one thing; this was another matter entirely.

Evotion replied with an explanation for the lip that makes sense: “I apologize for the tight fit of the pin. We actually produced a replica of part of your shaft piece to ensure the titanium pin would fit. I believe you could have forced it slightly and it would have popped through. The nylon is very resilient and can deform without damage. But filing was a fine solution on your end. Feedback from other clients suggests that the lip on the back edge helps prevent slipping inside the piercing, making it more comfortable.”

For pin fit: If you think you might want Titanium later, ask Evotion to verify compatibility when ordering. Also, specify pin height as noted above.

The lock is a standard integrated brass unit. A monthly application of silicone oil should keep corrosion at bay; these are easy to find in good quality. I view the use of a standard lock as convenient.

Comfort Apart from the initial sizing and roughness issues, this cage is wonderfully comfortable and light. It doesn’t pull on the piercing, allows full erections, and provides access to the corona for teasing. Cleaning is easy in the shower since the cage isn’t solid but uses a printed filigree pattern. The pin can be ordered with foreskin accommodation, which greatly boosts comfort. I have worn this for only one night so far, yet I am confident it can be worn indefinitely without removal for cleaning or travel, except during MRIs and surgeries. It is suitable for “permanent” chastity, or as close to permanent as you can get. I will update this post with longer-term wear notes once time has passed.

We don’t plan to make the cage truly permanent, mind you. We both enjoy tease and denial too much. Both Bear and I want frequent edging and denial. It arouses us both and makes me intensely grateful to him.

Final Thoughts If forced to give a number, I’d rate this device 4 out of 5 for edged-and-denied dicks. With a few tweaks—smoother finish, asking for pin height as well as glans dimensions during order, and ensuring the cage accepts a Titanium replacement without filing—it could reach 5/5.

For pricing, this device cost $330 with the foreskin-modified plastic pin, plus another $350 for the Titanium replacement. Expect roughly two months of manufacturing time for initial orders or subsequent changes. The only alternative I’d consider is a Steelwerks Cruciblehttps:// Those cost about three times as much, but I actually prefer having my dick more visible and accessible. For me, the Bijou is exactly right.
