To my eye, they’re offering a Chinese-made item for just under the price of a CBX version. I wouldn’t be surprised if the manufacturing cost is only about one-tenth (or even less) of their retail price, which explains how they can advertise a ‘lifetime’ warranty (though reading closely, that coverage ends if you use it too frequently). It will eventually break; we just have to see who gets weary first: us needing replacements or them keeping up with claims. Additionally, based on my time with the original riveted-hinge CB-3000 rings, I suspect the rivet is going to be a major irritation for long-term wear.

These cages seem to be variations of the CB3k, 6k, and Curve models, and the plastic doesn't appear to be the clear polycarbonate found in some other devices. I'm not sure about its durability, but my estimate is that the *actual* device costs around $20 at retail; Keptforher charges more likely because they purchased a large **stock** for replacements or their manufacturer guaranteed them plenty of supply. I'd be skeptical about claims that you can easily replace sections five or six years down the line.

I agree with both TM and Tom. This is just another entry in the ever-expanding **chastity** market, and that rivet makes me think it will cause issues for any type of long-term use. On a brighter note, when I first started my journey into chastity, I dealt directly with Kept For Her's team. They kept their promises and were wonderful to work with.

Keptforher provides excellent customer service.

They even seem to be saying it is superior to CBX models in many ways (hmmmm). Well, I checked "Sexy Fun World" and found that they are selling it at the same price point. Since I haven't had the chance to hold one physically and inspect it closely, maybe my assumption is wrong and it really does look better than expected.

Do you believe that will be an issue? > I think the genuine CB range are all manufactured in Thailand now, so maybe this isn't such a bad thing? The older CB3000 hinges used brass rivets with nickel plating. They tended to pinch, and some users had metal reactions. If you browse enough forums, you'll notice that most people who tried hinged rings ended up regretting the choice, primarily due to problems with pinching and chafing.

The dhgate models linked in “short device for PA” are hinged - and do not require a PA.

The main problem I have (other than them all eventually breaking right at the hinge) is the back side of the rivet. The smooth front was fine, but that bumpy rear could become quite irritating. I can't see the backside of this particular model clearly enough to tell if it uses the same type of rivet. > Hmmmmmm, ok. Looks like I might be stuck with the CB model or perhaps it's time for me **chastity** quits... There aren’t many options when a closed ring becomes too difficult to manage. I plan on ordering some hinged metal ones from dhgate; several of them appear to have well-designed hinges. At less than 1/4 the price, they might be worth trying out.

The key difference is that the world cage provides sizing options based on internal diameter width, which CBX products lack. I usually wear a product between 38 mm and 40mm wide, and I haven't seen a CBX option that fits. Is Kept for Her American-based? I ordered some new items from Red Chili a few weeks ago, but they are currently stuck in customs. Are there any Custom Metal designers located in the US?

Keptforher is good at replying but they are not helpful in any way. The way they operate is disorganized and they cannot help you order something because they claim they get orders but cannot keep a log of their **stock** supply to make customers aware if a product is still available! Poor management

Mature Metal is located in Weatherford, Texas.
