A few questions from a newbie

Hey everyone, I just picked up a steel cb-a001 that’s quite amusing. It’s made of stainless metal and sports a very trendy design. I’m totally new to this world and could use some guidance. So far, I’ve been wearing it for 24 hours straight. My main concerns are: my Johnson seems smaller now, leaving about half an inch or so of extra space. If it gets happy (erect), there’s a slight discomfort but nothing major. Could that lead to issues down the road? Also, this design sits low, and when things get lively, it tries to slide up. One more thing: my pee hole doesn’t stay put at the very tip of the cage anymore. Is that going to be an issue? Thanks everyone, and sorry for the bad English!

Cages shouldn't be overly long; if they are, yes, it will cause problems. You need one that fits properly because most people start with cages that are far too large. Most folks in the game of long term chastity tend to downsize over time until they find the right fit. I started with one that was too big; now I wear a small size which my Junior fills up completely when flaccid. This prevents ANY growth at all and therefore causes no pain. Any sign of erection happens only behind the base ring, but I don't feel any squeezing on the penis itself. Allowing some room for growth might boost short term testosterone levels, but not even feeling an erection starting bothers my head much more than the physical sensation.

A cage being too long can also make urinating messy. You want your penis tip to be as close to the cage opening or slit as possible.

Exactly. The tip should rest right at the end of the cage when it is completely flaccid. And yes, your flaccid size can shrink over time. It isn't permanent but might mean you need a shorter cage later on. Just my personal experience from trying this out a couple of times.

I had to switch back to the standard 6000, though even that can be too short and narrow at times.

I got this advice from either the MCN or MM site (can't recall which). The flaccid penis should be touching the entire inside of the cage about 95% of the time. If it isn't, the cage is too big.

Another problem to consider is whether you are uncut? I am, and I find that most cages aren't designed with a foreskin in mind. No matter what size I use, it constantly pushes the skin back, making me feel "circumcised," which isn't very comfortable.
