Newly Locked In: What Should I Expect Going Forward?

Hi again! I’m Alex, and this is my first time stepping into the world of chastity. There are a few reasons why I started this journey, but curiosity was the main driver, right on the heels of wanting better self-control. Before getting fitted with my HT V4 Maxi, I used an electro-stim device for chastity. It served as a solid introduction and helped me discover what being locked up felt like. I really liked how it sat in place, loved that rush when I finally managed to release myself, and often wondered about the experience of going long-term.
That CB, if you ask me, isn’t truly designed for long-term wear. The plastic is quite brittle (I snapped one just by flexing my erection), and the spacers tend to pinch. Plus, it wasn’t very discreet when worn under clothes.
Before I go on, here’s a bit of background: I’m a 30-year-old single guy who identifies as heterosexual. My job is in medical device sales (think CT scans and X-ray equipment), so with COVID keeping me home for the past six months or so, dating has been tricky. It turns out I have plenty of free time on my hands lately, which sometimes makes it hard to focus at work. Occasionally, I’d wander through downtown or just close the blinds and jerk off. So, I decided to try chastity as a way to use up that extra time and explore this lifestyle I’ve been curious about.
Once I made up my mind, I did extensive research online… Reading forum after forum and review after review, hoping to find the best CB for me. Interestingly, what I found was that everyone has different preferences. Some people like smaller devices with a tighter fit. The debate between metal and plastic is also pretty much split down the middle, but the list goes on… One thing that seemed unanimous though was all the praise given to the Holy Trainer lineup; especially for those new to this lifestyle. So I took the plunge and ordered my V4 model with three rings (sizes 40, 45, and 50). They arrived yesterday morning, so far it’s been an interesting experience.
I washed them immediately upon receipt and soaked them in hot water to let the plastic soften up. Initially, I installed the size 45 ring but noticed that my penis could pull out a bit while wearing it. So we went down to the 40 mm ring, which seems like the perfect diameter now. Now, I don’t want to sound too proud of myself, but I found the shaft part of the device to be somewhat small in both length and width. Even with the Maxi version, my penis feels quite squished inside the CB. Also, getting it on required some water-based lube and a bit of pushing for the right size fit. Question: Will this device cause shrinkage? I’m not someone who lines up to have their dick measured at competitions, but I like what I’ve got now and don’t want to risk losing any length or girth.
Also, does anyone else find walking a little awkward? It feels like my balls are sitting more on the sides of my penis rather than underneath it, so my thighs rub against them directly. (I have tried pulling my sack down as far as possible, which helps for a short while, but after some time, the HT device seems to drop slightly—maybe about 1mm—and causes my testicles to shift position. Any suggestions? - I should mention that I play soccer and am curious if anyone who participates in sports finds this CB gets in the way? Normally I’d take it off before playing, but for the sake of staying locked up as long as possible, what are some ways to handle discomfort while being active?
Last night was a bit tough; I woke up around five times adjusting my HT. Maybe I’m just not used to it yet, but I noticed it had a tendency to rotate my shaft inside the cage. In the end, I used a Q-tip to realign everything. Any thoughts on how one gets used to this?
Lastly, today marks my first full day in the HT.. Aside from attending some virtual meetings, my mind seems solely focused on being locked up and all I can feel or think about are the nerves in my penis. I assume this is because CB life is new to me and will fade over time?
Ultimately, my goal with Chastity is to go the distance. I’ve read posts about 100-day achievements, one-year milestones, etc. Personally, I’m competitive and enjoy a challenge, so I want to see how long I can stay in this CB (except for weekly cleanings) and how many days without orgasm I can manage. To date, my record is around 10 days without coming. Hopefully, being locked up will raise that bar.
I welcome your feedback, comments, suggestions, and advice! - Alex

There are many newcomers who think it will, but it doesn't...at least, not permanently. Very long periods of confinement without opportunities to 'stretch' out can cause the skin to lose some elasticity, resulting in a *temporary* appearance of being slightly smaller. However, several days or even weeks of 'freedom', allowing for normal erection cycles, will see it return to its former size. > Also, does anyone else find walking a little awkward? It *does* feel unusual at first because it is different, but eventually, you won't notice it so much anymore. You might also find that you need to make 'adjustments' when sitting down, especially when getting into a car, but eventually, you will adapt to these new ways of moving and stop noticing them as much. > Last night was a bit tough; I woke up around five times adjusting my HT. In the end, I used a Q-tip to realign everything. *Any thoughts on how one gets used to this?* You might want to keep using the larger ring for a while—maybe a week or two, possibly even longer—even though you know you could 'pull out' if needed. It will help with sleeping and reduce the number of times you wake up. The 'new' sensation of having nocturnal erections stifled by the cage can be uncomfortable initially, but your body will adjust. Once you are accustomed to sleeping through the night without frequent awakenings, you can switch back to the smaller ring. You'll likely go through another 'adjustment period' with more waking up at first, but eventually, you'll get 'used to it' and those awakenings will diminish. > Lastly, today marks my first full day in the HT.. I assume this is because CB life is new to me and will fade over time? Yes, after a while, that 'newness' will 'wear off', and you won't notice it quite so much...especially if no one else is controlling the key or teasing you into paying attention. > Ultimately, my goal with Chastity is to go the distance. A daily shower with some liquid or gel soap swished around inside keeps me clean without any odor, even in a plastic CB-3000. I've gone over 6 months without ever getting out at all. Some people complain about smell; I wonder if they bat enough. I can fit a finger under the ring and into the cage to swirl soap and water around. Other people find it necessary to use a sponge-like swab on a stick instead. A more 'open' stainless steel (SS) cage might make cleaning easier, but I don't have personal experience with one—I've had my CB-3000 for nearly 20 years now. ($150 seemed expensive back then, but it works out to about $7.50 a year.)
Thanks TwistedMister for the info! After being in for four days, you were correct on all counts. Walking has become much easier to handle now, and my worry about chafing has subsided. My nights have been improving since I first posted. I decided to keep the current ring size because moving up one size seemed too big for what I need. After several bad nights involving chastity-induced insomnia, I finally feel like my body has adopted this device. Last night, in fact, I slept through without waking up while wearing the HT. Instead of loose-fitting pajama pants, I wore compression shorts to keep everything from shifting around; it looks like that worked well. Regarding the newness factor, my biggest fear was leaving the house with this on. I worried people would notice it or that metal detectors/alarm systems at stores might go off. However, after two days of running errands and putting myself in various environments, I’m getting accustomed to it. — Call me odd if you will, but having gone through all these events successfully, I feel like this HT is becoming part of my body... As in, I genuinely believe it's quite comfortable now and don't mind being locked up. Maybe that’s why so many people can go long-term with their devices? Does it get better than this? What should I expect going forward?
I forgot to ask in my previous post... Does anyone find themselves “leaking” or having trace amounts of semen being produced constantly while locked up? I found that days 1 and 2 were very intense, needing to always check if I had a wet spot. Days 3-4 weren't so bad, though you can see little traces of semen leakage in the underwear. What should I prepare for going forward? Before being locked up, I was jacking off regularly (could this just be my prostate adapting to its new life?)
'Leakage' is normal. Generally speaking, the longer you go without ejaculating and the more (and frequently) aroused you are, the more 'leakage' will occur. Leakage may be pre-seminal fluid or semen itself, depending on your arousal level and how long it has been since your last ejaculation/orgasm. During extended periods where ejaculation is denied, some amount of semen might be expelled either before or just after urinating. Also during longer denial periods, the presence of semen in the urethra can cause slight irritation that feels like a need to pee, resulting in slightly increased urinary frequency. Depending on how tight the main ring is, compression of the urethra may result in a small amount of urine remaining in the bladder because there isn't enough pressure to overcome the restriction; this causes the bladder to fill up faster and also increases urination frequency. You should drink more fluids to ensure your urine stays diluted. Dehydration can lead to bacteria buildup which might cause a urinary tract infection (UTI) (this applies whether you wear a device or not). A UTI requires antibiotics for treatment, and if left untreated, it can result in severe illness and even death. (I’ve had two UTIs, both with and without the device, due to dehydration. One almost killed me because I didn't recognize it early enough; my most recent one {two months ago} cost $4,000 at the ER.)
alexb: Pay close attention to all of TwistedMister's advice. What he says about leakage is completely consistent with my own experience. I haven't personally dealt with UTIs, but I’ve always been very conscious of staying hydrated, which might explain why.
Thanks WifeIsVanilla & TwistedMister! During my time in chastity with the HT v4, I've noticed that as time progresses inside the device, leakage (precum) has dropped to nearly zero levels. I still get occasional wet sticky spots now and then, but not as frequently or heavily as before. - Maybe my body just needed some time to adjust to this specific device. To WifeIsVanilla's point about hydration: I have also been drinking plenty of water both to prevent potential UTIs and to get used to peeing while wearing the device. The only drawback I haven't fully overcome yet is bladder sensitivity caused by all that fluid intake. I used to have a huge bladder capacity, but now even small amounts of liquid make me feel like I'm dying to pee! Thankfully, I work from home. Can't imagine having to run to the restroom every 20-30 minutes at an office job haha.
