A Peculiar Erection Issue While Caged

Lately I’ve been experimenting with new medications—Vyvanse and Celebrex, though the latter is likely temporary—and trying to be healthier overall. Or at least somewhat.
This has led me to a peculiar situation. While wearing my Halfshell cage (which I’ve had on and off comfortably for two years), I find myself staying erect and swollen for extended periods until it actually hurts. It feels like edema is setting in, so I might need a wider cage.
Aside from the sizing issue, though, doesn’t this sound like a good sign of healthy equipment? However, when I take the cage off, I struggle to get an erection at all. There’s a little bit in the morning sometimes, but otherwise it’s a challenge regardless of what I do or what time of day it is.
I have several steel and silicone rings for different purposes, which help only slightly unless they are tight enough to turn me purple within minutes. Even then, the result feels more “full” than truly “hard,” if you catch my meaning. The little blue pill doesn’t really help either; it just gives me a headache.
It’s not as though I was ever someone who wore their cage every minute of every day. Usually, I’d go through cycles of wearing it for weeks and then taking breaks for weeks. So I don’t think this is some weird mental conditioning issue, especially since I didn’t have trouble just a few months ago.
I know it looks perfect from a kinky perspective, but being single, I do enjoy my stress relief.
So… does anyone have any ideas? The only general theory I can come up with is that my cardio might be poor; gyms are still somewhat restricted due to cold weather and other factors. However, I am moving soon and have already bought an exercise bike for the new place, so hopefully, I can work on that.
It still seems odd that my blood has no trouble getting where it needs to go while inside the cage but suddenly struggles once I remove it. Is this perhaps a sign from God telling me I belong under lock and key?
