How Long Until You Stop Noticing the Cage?

I’ve been locked up for over a day. Last night, anxiety spiked and kept me awake, but today I’m doing well and enjoying the setup. However, I find myself constantly checking my cage. Will this obsession fade? Am I just getting used to it?
Also, my mother seems more at ease around me now; it feels like I’ve stopped radiating those harsh masculine energies. She has found her own space and worries less about me, which is a positive shift—a good gift from a son who embraces chastity.
I’m also worried about potential clashes with my brother. He’s a bit of an outlier who dislikes sissies like me, tends to stir up trouble, and seems perpetually frustrated with life.
My goal is long-term chaste living; I’ve lost track of the days in this state, but these family dynamics are complicating things.
Your mother? Your brother? What’s your age?

I’ve been using chastity cages for more than a decade. Three months into my first year of 24/7 wear, there were times when I genuinely forgot the device was on. This improved significantly after I switched to a custom-made model. Now it’s as natural as wearing a wedding ring; it exists without demanding constant attention unless something prompts me. That said, with my current cage, sitting down and putting weight on my testicles definitely reminds me of its presence—ouch! Individual experiences vary widely. I’ve read that about 90% of chastity devices eventually end up unused in a drawer once the novelty fades or comfort becomes an issue. This is especially true for those who purchase inexpensive Chinese clones; they often come with only one ring size, are bulky/heavy, and lack all-day comfort. The key is to gradually increase wear time each week. Eventually, you’ll simply forget it’s there. Good luck.

However it was only after buying a custom made device. Now it is like my wedding ring. It is there but I do not think about it unless there is reason to. With my cage I do think about it when I sit down on my balls. Ouch. It varies by person. I have read that 90% of chastity devices end up in a drawer no longer used once the initial excitement wears off or the wearer cannot get comfortable wearing it. Especially those who buy cheap Chinese clones that come with one ring size, are heavy and not very comfortable. Just wear it longer and longer each week and sooner or later you will forget you have it on. Good Luck. That’s a solid assessment since I received my first chastity cage in mid-April. Initially, nighttime wear was a struggle, but after adjusting the spacers and ring size (mine came with a set of options), I’ve been able to sleep comfortably most nights. There are moments when I truly don’t realize the steel device is encasing my cock and balls. Over time, I’m learning how to make minor adjustments on the fly, though occasionally I still need to remove it for relief; fortunately, those instances are becoming rarer.
I’m picking up more feminine energy lately. Women seem eager to care for me and chat openly as if we’re close friends. This open communication helps immensely when I’m out in public, whether I’m handling office tasks or just discussing life details. It feels like men are treating me with the same gentle consideration they give women—an wonderful experience that keeps my horniness high. A previous ex once remarked that I act much more like a girl than a man. My last girlfriend, who was quite toxic, criticized me for being too 'sissy,' but honestly, I don’t mind it at all. Her critical behavior didn’t shake my sincere desire to be submissive in relationships or embrace feminine roles. So, wearing this cage is partly revenge against her; I’m proving that I will find a woman who accepts my feminine side and allows me to follow the FLR Lifestyle.
When I’m working or focusing on tasks, I manage to ignore the device. But when my wife is around... I can’t stop thinking about it.
Hopefully never! I love the sensation of being caged and genuinely miss having it off for any reason. As a crossdresser who enjoys bondage, that 'locked up' feeling probably explains why I want to wear mine constantly.

Also, when my family members are nearby, I worry about whether they notice the bulge. Outside in public places like supermarkets, however, everyone seems indifferent; I go with the flow as if I’m completely free to express myself.

Of course, I understand. What I mean specifically is: when will the burning and itching sensations subside? When do we truly get accustomed to the cage? Is there a specific milestone for this, or is it just part of the sacrifice—enduring minor pain for great pleasure?

It depends on the type of cage and how well it fits. With a properly fitted device, discomfort should be minimal after just a few days of adjustment. From your earlier posts, it seems you aren’t taking things seriously enough and have an ill-fitting device that will likely never feel fully comfortable.
