My partner and I have really gotten into the chastity lifestyle recently, and we both love it. The issue for me is that when I am locked up, if I move or sit incorrectly, one of my testicles slips out from behind the cage. We’ve experimented with many styles and sizes, but unless I wear a ring so tight everything turns blue and hurts like crazy, nothing seems to stop an escape…
We want to keep it on for longer periods; she wants me locked up for at least a month. However, almost every other night, I manage to slip out and hunt down the key to get myself securely back inside…
I would really appreciate any advice.
I’m still relatively new to this and doing it on my own. But stay in the conversation; there is plenty of solid advice available here. Here’s a thought: take things slowly at first, working with your partner to find a device that fits properly. It sounds like the opening between the ring and the cage might be too wide, but remember that no ball trap style device is completely unbreakable. This chastity lifestyle seems built on an honor system, love, devotion, and enjoyment. Communicate clearly, and you will figure it out. There is a lot to read and learn from this community. Good luck with your journey!!
I’m dealing with the exact same issue. I started with CB6000s that had a middle ring and medium spacers, but I found the cage itself was too big. Next, I tried the Mr Stubb model using smaller rings and spacers, but it felt overly tight and painful. Then came the Mt Stubb setup with large rings and spacers; my testicles escaped while skiing. Finally, I went back to the Mr Stubb cage paired with medium rings and spacers, and for the last few days, no escapes at all. We will see how it holds up long-term, but it seems like a matter of trial and error.

The opening between the cage and the ring is likely too small (or rather, positioned incorrectly). The ring needs correct sizing as well, but if a ball can squeeze through that gap, then definitely something isn't quite right with it.
I agree with TM. The problem lies in the gap between the base ring and the cage, not necessarily the overall ring size. If that gap is too wide, a testicle will pop through it. Conversely, if it is even slightly too narrow, you get that painful "ball burn" sensation. DO NOT wear a ring so tight that "everything turns blue." There should be no discoloration at all! If the color changes, circulation is being cut off, which can be DANGEROUS!
About three weeks ago I switched to the Cobra model from a CB. The fit is much better now. Although if you have very small or soft testicles, they might still manage to get out.

Although if you have very small or soft testicles, they might still manage to get out. I purchased a Cobra with a standard ring and actually had a testicle pop through while sleeping. It wasn't pleasant. Later, I bought an XD ring which is thicker; that seems to have fixed the issue.
Mine has a tilting back mechanism. The fit and feel are much improved.
Thanks for all the advice. This was a custom-made cage and ring measured specifically for me, but I think you are right about that space... We will continue experimenting.
People need to understand that it is not really about ring size; it is entirely about the gap between the ring and the cage. That is where the testicle escapes from, rather than going under the ring itself. While the ring size can have a secondary effect on changing that gap width, ultimately only the gap matters. You must adjust THAT!!! MsM’s ld
The Vice model is good. It has a hinged ring design, and I cannot escape because it fits snugly.
I agree with everyone who highlights the gap. The ring can actually be quite roomy as long as the gap is sized correctly. Though I have read that some people find non-perfectly round base rings or a double base ring configuration to also help.
I’ll add my own experience... when I switched to a larger gap with my Jailbird model, everything felt heavenly. The ring size should allow you to stick one finger in up to the first joint of your index finger. THAT is the correct starting measurement. After that, check the gap width.. That was my issue with all non-custom devices.. The difference was amazing.
