Urethral tube transition log. (So far). Worn for over four years, no issues on my end. Cleaner and easier to manage. More arousal too. Not sure it’s for everyone though. Important note.. Check out page 5 then return here. The placement of the tube is crucial. Manufacturers are getting it wrong for human anatomy. If positioned correctly you barely notice it, even during an erection (though you will know, but pleasantly so; no pain). This applies specifically to the longer urethral tubes. I now have micro and flat cages with steel urethral tubes from Ternence. The shorter tube required zero adjustment. It’s straight, not long enough to need a bend, though bending the cage slightly lowers it below dead center which helps. They also offer a peperpot design in flat style with a fixed urethral. Works perfectly without any adjustments. In fact, much of what I’m describing is my adaptation to a steel tube that was slightly off-center initially, causing morning wood discomfort until I adjusted over time. I’ll add a pic below showing the correct placement. Initially tried a 6mm steel tube. The issue was it wasn’t wide enough for free urination. Also lacked a bulbed end; basically flawed design overall. Then switched to silicone. Too many issues with those to list here. Avoid unless you enjoy bleeding. Finding a comfortable, functional tube has been my goal. I’m now adjusting to a new steel urethral. This one is 8mm, featuring a bulbed end and tapered base, preventing splash or spillage when urinating. No vibrating air locks either. Excess urine trapped in the tube shakes out easily, keeping underwear dry. Another tip: Roll tissue thin like a pipe cleaner to soak it up. Admittedly I also got a cage with slightly more room. C likes it, and there’s some breathing space. The urethral tube keeps the penis central, suspended with a tiny gap around it when totally flaccid (which isn’t often). It allows air circulation preventing dampness or sweating and permits easy cleaning/drying without removal. So here we are. Daily updates follow. Day 1: Worn for 1 hour; feels slightly invasive due to snug internal fit, a bit twingey. Day 2: Worn for 5 hours; easier this time, but my body was still signaling “something different down there.” A few odd twinges in random spots. Day 3: In for 12 hours; no real bother, hit my daily target. Body is still unsure though. If I had ovaries (metaphorically), a slight twinge might appear occasionally here. Day 4: All day, 16 hrs. Had several semi-hard ons in the cage. Comfortable unless really horny now that body has adjusted. Took it out for night; feels so unnoticeable I think leaving it in would be fine. Trying to ease into this rather than rush. So trying just nights next to see how nocturnal wear goes. Strange thing is, when removed, I missed its presence. Peeing is really easy now. Nice jet stream, can pee standing up. Day 5: All day again. No bother, no twinges; was building scaffold all day. Forgot it was there until already in bed. Took too long to remove so wore it overnight. Day 6: Still in for the full day. Mixing mortar, stone walling, laying patios today. Still no trouble. Was able to take off and clean/inspect. No foul smells, no irritation. Put straight back on. Left it on all night. Day 7: Woke up with painful morning wood. Uncomfortable pain. Got up, peed, felt fine afterward. Nothing sore etc., I think my glans was clamping down on the bulb at the top of the steel tube. Day 8: Permanently in now. Nocturnal erections are getting stronger as I go longer without orgasm; woken again this morning. Penis gripping the bulb. It’s a pain I can’t ignore (unlike a calus). Goes away soon after peeing. Day 9: Same story, still in, no problem until morning wood then try to endure.. Meditate to calm down. But today my damn penis tries hard again minutes later. This time a Super powerful morning wood and it’s more than I can bear. Up for a pee. Try waking myself up a bit. This isn’t good news. C won’t tolerate being disturbed like this in the mornings. Morning Woods are the hardest part of caged life. Endurance eventually wins out. Wonder if this will be similar? Weekend approaches; C likes her undisturbed lie-in. So I was to remove it for Sat/Sun night. Back on Monday. Three days straight now, including nights. I still wake with nocturnals, but seem sleeping through most of them. It’s odd; the pain isn’t terrible bad, just very uncomfortable and gives impression it will bruise or last long, but as arousal fades so does discomfort until no sign remains. So appears I’ll get used to it. If I survive a weekend without removal, ive cracked it. Will know in a couple of weeks. Later added edit. Day 21: Haven’t had to remove at all. Body adjusted and feels good. C likes that I’m even more attentive and responsive. Basically by day 12 fully adjusted. More detail below. Edit added after one year: The rumors about std infections etc are false, like many cage myths. The tube has been in for a year; fewer hygiene problems than if it hadn’t been there. Cage no longer gets peed on inside, so no dampness or smell unless leaking onto balls which wipes clean easily.

Okay, I have to ask. Considering all the potential issues, such as infection, poor fit, hygiene, a piece dislodging, stray urine, chafing, frequency of maintenance, and who knows what else, why do any of you keep using these things?

That's exactly what I want to know too!!!

my guess would be to stop the potential for pull out without needing a piercing, but that’s just a guess. IF all the potential issues were overcome (won’t ever happen) i quite like the idea myself BUT those potential issues put it into the no no never category. Oh, like many i did try one for a few hours very early in this journey. MsM’s ld

Oh, like many i did try one for a few hours very early in this journey. I haven't seen any definitive information on the 'potential' issues, just rumors and stories so far. I've had a couple of UTIs, but not from sticking things in my dick, which I've done quite often without worrying about being ‘sterile’. I even catheterized myself once to see what it was like, using some IV line lying around. Most of the stories/rumors have been about as trustworthy as those claiming 'my wife locked my dick up and now it's only an inch long'. There must be a lot sold by now; if risky, we'd hear more. I am interested in both anti-pullout aspect and foreign ‘invasion’/penetration sense, so I'll watch how this goes. Following Mr. Pickle’s journey closely with some envy; his Mrs seems to have taken to it slightly better than he might have thought initially.

Other than morning wood I've had no issues at all. If problems arise I'll be sure to let you know. As for the why? It's something I wanted to try, feels very next level and enjoyable... Better. Not sure there are any bits that could drop off? I can pee now without splashing; cleaner for me, fits well. Many designs out there; tried a few that didn't or couldn't work. This one works for me. Haven't tried to escape it yet. Honestly the idea of pushing all my flesh back terrifies me so I'll pass on that route. A bonus is when C gave me a caged treat and put her vibrator on the cage; whole different level of eye rolling pleasure.

Come on guys, now you’re tempting me to try again. As I said i do like the idea; not sure MsM is so happy with it though! So ok, i’ll keep watching and see if anybody has any body parts rotting off AND THEN who knows!! See maybe even an old dog like me can learn new tricks!!! MsM’s ld

Tube log Thumper (whom I believe started this forum) wrote a Blog/review on the looker 2. It made me realize the scaremongering was just that, So confident a decent device would be OK. ... looker-02/ "In practice, it dramatically enhances the chastity experience by not just encasing and entrapping a penis, but also invading it." Although Thumper does have an issue with vibrating/leaking, My urethral tube doesn't suffer this problem. I can stand, pee and shake out excess in the tube. The vibrating sensation only happens if the tube is misaligned. It's a single piece of well made steel. The bud/bulb at the end is just over 8mm with tapered base 10mm. Bore is 7mm. Fits me comfortably and snugly. 10mm won't go in, so even if device loosens it can’t 'fall in'. Besides anyone with urethral play experience will agree: "the body expels things naturally". The chastity perkins blog post about the “reluctant wife” was my decider for me. In her blog she actively sought a device her husband could not escape. ... 3956e18d7f I do admit the rest of her blog how she treated her husband scared me quite a bit, enough for my dark cravings to want it even more. The reason I'm doing this particular journey here is because I've tried many ways to make this work and it hasn't been easy. Imagine others have too, given up along the way. Some market items are so poorly made they're dangerous. Some impractical, some health risk; in my case some need urethral training. I did try silicone of two types; tend to be too narrow with not enough bore for pee through so urine goes around. Badly made and needing reworking to prevent problems. Scratchy even at best; quite bad. Convinced I would suffer UTIs. Not worth the risk, gave up on them. Tried straight steel also. Same issues really. Without bud/bulb you could impale something. To take larger diameter urethral had to get sounding rods. These are fun. My actual urethra is fine; skin where pee exits was narrow due to birth defect causing lifelong trouble trying to be quick, but meant only 5mm (max 6mm) with 4mm bore worked before which wasn't good at all. Doubt anyone else has this issue though. This is no longer the case.

Just in case my explanation isn't so good. This is a similar jobbie. Mine has slightly larger head and base. Compatible with both new and old cage.

Screw sits outside. If you undid screw whole thing would float inside your dick. Can remove if cage off, optional.

This question brings more answers. The screw-on spout thing... Doesn't look as neat as a stainless M6 nut. Also can come loose unless absolutely tight; not nice when it pitches. Spent half day working off-site with this issue. Keep spare nut handy. Replaced it now with nylon lock nut since no longer need remove tube.. Yes, cracked it or at least body adjusted to accept it. Worn whole week and even hardest morning wood bearable. My cleaning/lube routine (or what I do): take piss after putting on. Piss has ammonia natural germ killer etc. Pee shake drops come out. Caging washing simple: Stick caged bits under tap, tissue clean let air dry. Never used surgical lube; use spit and touch of sex lube if available be outraged all you like done deep sounding for years using spot lube piss wash 😉 Don't boil wash etc before strapping in/on. Use antibacterial soap anyway. Anyway.. So far so good. Eventually sure C will have cum inside this thing (when evil mood strikes).

Takes bit time get used having UI but all in all not bad thing depending actual diameter of tube. Have 7 inch UI inside mine; if out day or two initially uncomfortable on reinsertion quickly overcome that. If off only for shower/cleaning then reinsert easy painless. Up-thread you talked insertable end like washer prevent urine going down sides tube was after-market thing purchased? Find urine flows around tube sometimes not prefer “not” myself makes things easier post bladder action cleaning. Cuming in UI equipped cage unlike anything experienced before. More intense less fulfilling far different sensations When/if S.O gets to "evil" point may never want her do other way My S.O and still discussing this possibility luck bit patience should enjoy well too Eddie

Haven't added anything inside cage; beveled base seals it for me I think. Diameter 10mm so meatus slowly works stretches over it. This and end bud do job even busting go. Have to look see still peeing now can't feel It. So no modifications just tight fit. Riged tube move/rotate found tightly screwed wasn't as good. Tether sounds interesting might have to look sometime future C put up enough "letting me out adjust" time being. Being let clean isn't option Deal was “you let me out want” C not changing That gets cleaned before goes back finds easy clean externally birdcage design.

Coming up three weeks. If tube insert straight aligned pee-tube correctly urine leaks around insert messy. Good way tell fitted properly Nice easy stream vibrations no. Left unaligned feel morning wood uncomfortable. Found best result use nylon thread lock nut/anti slip (anything doesn't come off not fastened fully) . Tighten so insert still slight movement Allows auto correct alignments wise peeing and wood always fine. Been 24/7 since comes C's entertainment once or twice week No other reason C pokes fingers through cage more some reason Also driving feel vibrations motor So driving sheer pleasure new meaning Testing purposes tried pull out not chance Tried whilst shower soaped up Think large base Ring might doable? But wouldn't nice experience painful even. Base Ring custom made 39mm triple width design own Width means go smaller without cutting circulation (pressure spread wider area) comfortable grips much better Made plastic reduced weight Don't like hinged ring provided fiddly. Today working site needed pee standing only option cab door too No problem at all not single drip Shaking quite vigorous flick used tissue doing this Seriously enjoying locked forgotten long now more horny for it.

I've never quite grasped the anxiety surrounding these devices. Catheters are essentially identical, right? Sure, fit, hygiene, and material quality matter, but my brother wore a catheter for weeks after surgery without anyone batting an eye in medical circles. Yet, doing it recreally is seen as madness if something stays inside longer than ten minutes of sounding time. The only real downside seems to be cleaning frequency; with a well-fitting open cage, people go weeks between deep cleans, but I assume a urethral tube needs more care than that. Still, most folks seem happy with weekly cleanings or even more often. I've been thinking about getting one myself, though I need a model with a PA insert because I don't want the opening to close up.

member_2c3f1d8c72 30 Aug 2026 #18

We are using a looker02 with a 6mm urethral tube. Peeing is an issue; the stream doesn't always pass cleanly through the tube, or at least not entirely. The tube extends quite far, going past the ring as well. It also tends to get irritated after several days, though this depends on how much it pushes inward while in the cage. Should we switch to a shorter tube or a larger diameter? We keep using it because my girlfriend enjoys the struggle and discomfort, plus it prevents escape and makes easy orgasms difficult.

member_e33d73df19 30 Aug 2026 #19

My uncle has kept a catheter in for two decades without developing UTIs. He did get ear infections from water getting in his ears occasionally, so cleaning can sometimes be tricky. With my pee tube, there is always residual urine inside after I go. Honestly, I don't bother cleaning it much. I do like the look of the looker device though. The 6mm bore feels too narrow for comfortable peeing. I had to sound up to 9mm before finding comfort. The 8mm tube paired with a 9mm bud works perfectly for me, even when holding back.

member_e33d73df19 30 Aug 2026 #20

It's been four weeks. The insert has stayed in continuously except for a two-day break where the cage was removed. I've managed several five-mile bike rides and lots of manual labor without issue. However, today I felt some twinges that seemed off. The tube nut had tightened too much to swivel freely, causing misalignment. I noticed this because my urine stream vibrated and splashed during peeing. The feeling reminded me of day one—nothing serious, just likely rubbing a new spot. I removed it temporarily rather than endure the discomfort and will let it rest overnight.

member_c5a7c75d7b 30 Aug 2026 #21

Mr Pickle, thanks for sharing this log. I am following along with great interest.

member_e33d73df19 31 Aug 2026 #22

More cycling and more odd twinges in my lower back led me to remove it when I was released this morning. We completed another ten-mile round trip. These weren't e-bikes; pure pedal power. The cause is mostly being out of shape after two years since our last such biking trips with the kids. The twinge returned that evening, but I realized they stem from using long-dormant muscles rather than the insert itself. It wasn't worth risking further irritation to confirm. So it goes back in. Personally, I already miss having it.

member_e33d73df19 31 Aug 2026 #23

It's back after being out for a day. No issues at all. I should mention that I need to attach the tube to the cage before putting the cage on. You can insert the tube into the penis first and then put the cage on (easier), but this requires tightening it while wearing, which causes rotation and misalignment, leading to problems. I nearly forgot about my morning wood today. It still wakes me up because my penis effectively grips the tube, creating enough discomfort to rouse me. I have to endure it until the erection subsides. I missed having that constant reminder.

member_e33d73df19 31 Aug 2026 #24

Six weeks in and everything is good. Because the steel urethral has a budded end, I cannot remove the cage once hard; my penis grips the bar. C likes this feature. If she can arouse me quickly enough, I become a prisoner by my own physiology. The insert has been permanent except for a four-day break where I didn't get quite enough time to reinsert it properly. When I did put it back in, I had to readjust but managed without removing it entirely. I've done several ten-mile bike rides and handled lots of manual work fine. There are occasional twinges afterward that fade away. The tube nut was initially too tight to swivel independently, causing misalignment. I knew this because peeing vibrated and spilled over. The sensation mirrored my first day—no major concern, just likely rubbing a new area. I took it out temporarily instead of staying uncomfortable, planning to put it back in the morning. However, C wouldn't release me again so soon, leaving me off for four days. When she is feeling dominant, I leak precum heavily; it dribbles from the end. This time C denied my scheduled orgasm and increased the teasing. With so much precum building up, I feared blocking the tube. I am more accustomed to morning wood now. It still wakes me, which I actually appreciate. Putting the cage on takes some time if I haven't been allowed cum (which is often). The first step involves popping the tube head in, during which the cock starts swelling. This definitely adds a kinkier erotic feel.

Yes. You can undo the front nut, unlock the base Ring, and pull everything out. The reverse is also true: you can insert the tube first, then place the cage over it. The only drawback here is visibility; you cannot see exactly where the tube points if it is cock-eyed, which causes issues.

member_e33d73df19 31 Aug 2026 #26

It has become a permanent fixture and poses no risk in my view. I had a five-day period where I couldn't even rinse it under the tap, let alone shower or wash properly. Surprisingly, it didn't stink because urine wasn't hitting the cage directly. I can stand to pee with confidence now. Most importantly, I feel more locked, more chastity-bound, and more owned. It amplifies those sensations significantly. I wouldn't want to be without it.

member_1f353e1d87 31 Aug 2026 #27

> Mr Pickle wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 7:14 pm > ...I feel.. More locked,. More in chastity and more owned. It has amplified all these feelings and sensations... That is precisely the experience I am seeking—truly having no choice because removal is impossible without obvious destruction or cutting tools (which would make her very unhappy). Being completely unable to 'cheat' by slipping out for a normal erection and stimulation, with no willpower required. She holds 100% control over my ability to feel erections, stimulation, and pleasure, using that power along with my desire to compel participation in sexual activities until I am 'rewarded.' How would my attitude change regarding certain things? Are there tasks she enjoys or wants done, which currently require bondage or force, that I would perform willingly if I knew it was the only path to a normal erection and hand/blowjob/fuck?

member_e33d73df19 31 Aug 2026 #28

So far, aside from getting used to the tube, it has been in constantly. C does let me out for minutes rather than days. A good week totals about 20 minutes of release time. I have peed into a bottle when caught short on site with no facilities nearby. Try doing that without a tube! I didn't even hesitate this time. The experience of coming inside is totally different, both positively and negatively. It acts as an excellent deterrent for those wanting to escape; it is too much trouble even if possible. Heck, if C left the key out, I wouldn't consider removing it due to the hassle. I am fully accustomed now and love my morning wood—I feel helplessly trapped this week. It makes C feel more powerful knowing I'm 'more locked' and 'desperate.' She is utilizing me well and disregarding some of my needs.

It sounds like one of your recurring issues involves ensuring the curve of the urethral insert aligns with the curvature of your cage. I wonder if a device exists with a somewhat flexible urethral insert that would allow for a greater margin of error in this alignment?

I have seen some made of clear PVC with an SS bulb end. However, I wonder about the potential to harbor bacteria where the stainless steel and PVC connect. The fittings *look* tight in photos, but bacteria are microscopic.

I wonder if there is a device with a somewhat flexible urethral insert that would allow for a greater margin of error in this regard? Yes, and I have tried them. They are comfier and can be inserted deeper. The problem is they tend to be narrow (6mm usually), making peeing through the end difficult; it also smells worse if urine gets trapped. Hygiene was my concern. The steel insert has worked out better for me now. Once I added a nylon lock nut, it didn't need to be tight and could swivel into position as I move.

member_e33d73df19 1 Sept 2026 #32

I am no longer transitioning. Initially C said, "Oh my god it goes all the way inside. That's very scary; I can't imagine ever doing that." After six months of zero complaints, she swapped it out for security gate reasons but didn't like me wearing just a cage without the insert because I seemed 'less locked.' She also enjoys poking through the bars to feel the steel. The result is this is no longer a test run; it's permanent and I would feel wrong without it now. So, this thread is done and dusted. Steel urethral tubes with an 8mm minimum diameter and bulbed ends are a win-win.

Just an update. I replaced the round 'nut' with a lock nut quite some time ago. The cheap nuts seemed to corrode and I snapped the tube while trying to replace one. I waited ten days for the replacement, though no readjustment was needed. Apart from those ten days off since starting, it has been in continuously, only coming out during playtime (about 20 minutes) without needing cleaning.

member_e33d73df19 2 Sept 2026 #37

A year later and time has flown. I still have a steel tube inside my dick (barely notice it there). Most importantly: no redness, no infections or other issues. If anything, I’ve noticed I no longer get the flaky white skin caused by dampness, likely from peeing while standing with urine passing through the tube. I would honestly recommend this to anyone considering it. The only permanent change was adding a marine steel lock nut instead of the supplied part. It looks better and doesn't move. But beware: once on, it won’t come off without snapping the tube.

member_e33d73df19 2 Sept 2026 #39

When you first start wearing one, there is an adjustment period similar to adjusting to long-term cage wear. If you only have one cage, use the removable nut with a spring washer until you are ready for full-time.

> Mr Pickle wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 12:55 pm > The only permanently change was the addition of a marine steel lock nut instead of the thing supplied. > It looks better and it does not move. But beware. Once on it will not come off without snapping the tube. When you say it won't come off without snapping the tube, do you mean you need a new tube each time you are unlocked, or just that you treat the cage and tube as one unit? I.e., you can take the cage off without breaking the tube, but the tube remains attached to the cage.

member_e33d73df19 2 Sept 2026 #41

Treat them as one unit once a lock nut has been used.

member_e33d73df19 3 Sept 2026 #42

Year and a half update. I have never regretted this decision in the slightest. The opposite is actually true.

member_e33d73df19 3 Sept 2026 #43

Bit of an update. It's still there, worn every day with only a few exceptions since I started. No issues at all—no twitching or redness. Nothing suggests this type of urethral is anything but safe and clean. However, I recently bought an identical unit and noticed upon assembly that the urethral alignment was different. My original, which I wear daily, has the urethral positioned close to the bottom of the cage. Anatomically, this is correct because the penile urethra runs along the underside of the dick. The replacement tube centers itself, running through the exact middle of the dick. This simply will not work when erect; it would be painful. I don't know why this change occurred or if my original coincidentally has a fault that made it work. But it is crucial to ensure the urethral tube sits roughly where your actual penile urethra lies—along the bottom. Cant show images while wearing, but will try to demonstrate the difference later.

member_4f5a13ffdf 3 Sept 2026 #44

I also switched from a flexible urethral tube to metal. I had no problems with either type. It slid in smoothly like butter. I did extensive research beforehand to determine the best size and insertion method. Medical resources were particularly helpful, explaining potential issues and solutions clearly. If you take the right actions and choose the correct size, complications should be minimal and urine drains through the tube effectively. I also find wearing a cage with an urethral tube much more hygienic as it prevents unpleasant odors. It makes urination easier too. The steel tube on my current cage is attached as one whole unit, which I believe is superior—no hassle with screwing in caps or nuts coming loose.

member_e33d73df19 3 Sept 2026 #45

I have altered the new cage so the urethal is positioned correctly. Basically, I drove a large screw through the cage pee hole from the inside and used a crowbar for leverage. Originally, the urethal landed dead center of the ring, which is likely where manufacturers intend it to be since they design them without specific anatomical depth in mind. This photo shows my soon-to-be replacement cage with its intended position compared to an actual medical image showing our known anatomy. Then there is a rather diabolial picture illustrating where manufacturers *think* it should be. How? I mean, when you pee you can feel and see the stream; how have they gotten this so wrong?

Okay, your story inspired me to try again. I ordered a tube similar to the one in your picture. Installed it this morning and was totally shocked—no pain, just the feeling of the tube inside me. You were so right; last time it wasn't me that had the wrong fit, LOL. I stayed around the house for a couple of hours. I only intended to do a quick test but decided to go to work keeping the keys to my unit—an old reliable A-27 with the tube screwed into it. It's now been over eight hours and still comfortable. I have urinated several times; the only issue is some spillage. Looking for a larger bulb for next time, and I am going to try wearing it overnight to see what happens. The tube I got is an 8mm so I'm going to try finding a nine or maybe even ten (easier to find) and test that as well. So thanks again. For the info so far, it is working fine; I have even had times when I forgot it was there. Mikel

Looking at your replacement unit and the medical pic showing how it should be lower in the cage while I was switching out units back to the BA-34R with glans ring, checking if everything was OK. I noticed the new urethral tube could be screwed onto the BA unit; it only has vertical bars so I hadn't thought about using it with a U-tube. I screwed it to the bars lowering it like in your pics. Again shocked that the tube went in easily even with the glans ring installed, as I had worried it might make it too tight. Once assembled, the unit was even more comfortable than the A-27 unit I started with. WOW! The BA unit is shorter than the A-27 so not only is it positioned better but it goes all the way out of the cage. Between the glans ring (which had already made the BA unit such that I could not pull out of it) and now with the tube, it would be totally impossible [to remove], NO doubts. I'm going to continue my experiments using the U-tube and the steel rings I have been experimenting with on the lower shaft trying to make any cage "Anti-pull-out". Thanks again for this thread. Mikel

I've been using a steel urethral tube for over a year on and off. I have had no problems at all with them and prefer having a tube compared to none. It has been noted that the silicone version is not generally preferable for several reasons. What are they? I have one and tried it but found it uncomfortable, maybe because I didn't get it long enough to adjust. I was worried about the metal end coming off, but after pulling on it very hard, that isn't a real concern anymore. I like the extra length you get with the silicone tube. Besides bacteria gathering in one possible place, what are the other negatives? Thank you.

member_e33d73df19 4 Sept 2026 #49

Bacterial infection was my main concern, and also that the edge of the tube caused bleeding after a few days. The tube isn't even cut straight. It is narrow. I found it impossible to pee through easily. Also, I don't know if it really is body safe, despite being medical grade tubing. I have considered getting medical grade tube and making my own; I believe it comes in different diameters.

member_4894329cf0 4 Sept 2026 #50

I agree with all your statements. When I did try the flex tube, I had a little blood where I've never had any with the metal tube. And yes, the tube is pretty narrow. I'd like to find a metal tube that is slightly longer and maybe even larger diameter, though the current one seems to be a good size.

member_e33d73df19 4 Sept 2026 #51

The shorter tube that comes with the even shorter cage has a larger outer diameter but the through hole is the same. I expect this is because the holes in all cages are generally the same. If there were a wider tube, the thread would have to be wider and also the hole in the cage. But otherwise it is wider. The nub still needs to be angled down. Surprisingly, in the flat cage (which I am wearing at the moment) it doesn't need alteration; straight down the middle is fine. It sticks out the back of the cage—which isn't really a cage but just a lid—by about an inch.

This thread got me thinking that using an insert might help stretch my too narrow urethra. I thought I would buy a couple of silicone inserts with different diameters to experiment. I started with the smaller one leaving it in for 10 minutes on one day and 15 minutes a few days later, sliding it slowly in and out a dozen times without any stinging or bleeding. A few days later I put my Cobra over it and left it in for 20 minutes. When I took it out I became more than a little concerned seeing that I was pulling out drops of blood ahead of the metal tip and that the 5" silicone tube was filled with blood. I was very relieved when no additional blood came out, nor was there any mixed into the urine when I peed about 20 minutes later. I am wondering exactly what caused the bleeding since there were a few variables: 1 - It was in twice as long. 2 - The tube was forced into a curved shape by my wearing the Cobra, which also kept the tip (which is wider than the rest of the tube) in one place for those 20 minutes. 3 - I was active during that period, pulling weeds actually.

member_4894329cf0 4 Sept 2026 #53

As Mr. Pickle said, I think it is the edge of the silicone tube that cuts into the inside of the urethra. Not enough to be serious, just enough to let some blood out. It looks pretty scary seeing blood come out for sure. Luckily it seems to stop quickly as you found out. I don't know if there's anything else you can do to round the edge other than using heat to melt it slightly. You can get a set of urethral sounds to stretch out the inner diameter. The generic metal tube seems to be a good size because it is comfortable and still big enough to allow urination without too much mess.

member_e33d73df19 4 Sept 2026 #54

My experience with silicon is that even the best cut smallest gap still causes trouble because that edge moves slightly and constantly wears away at a very thin membrane. If you want to stretch your urethra get the right equipment: sounding rods. And take it very, very slowly. There are forums dedicated to this. In reality though there is little point in going over 8mm.

I recently got a new very short cage; it's not flat but just very short. I tried the curved metal tube and found that the distance between the ring bottom and the tube caused pain and pinching of the urethra. I installed a straight tube and the problem was solved. Anatomically it is not perfectly lined up, but doesn't seem to be an issue; comfort is great. I think because the cage is short pull-out would be possible but difficult. Re-insertion would be very difficult if not impossible. While not escape proof you would be found out if you cheated and pulled out. I self-lock so it's not an issue for me. I do find that the very short cage and tube are super comfortable and convenient.

The flat version is also very comfortable without adjustment.

Over two years now. Wow! I have a selection of cages from flat to long; all have a urethral. The flat is ok with both shorter and longer tubes. Im being kept in the small (micro) cage more often now. The small suits the shorter straight tube, although there isn't much difference in insert length. The rest take the longer tube (cages needed tweaking to get it into the right place). I also have possession of a cobra (not mine), and made an adapter allowing this to have a tube. It worked very well; very comfy. No issues at all with any of these.

Im not sure what you are describing matches exactly what Im recommending so done a basic sketch. If you can work out my logic: The Eye of the actual cage (the pee hole) needs to be altered slightly as it is often supplied at the wrong angle. It is very difficult to break stainless steel; takes good force even just to bend. The lever force would go towards the ring-shaped link for the base ring. In my case, the link did bend slightly. It bends back without breaking. This then makes the urethral angle downwards.

And it worked too—at least for now; I can't notice any significant drawbacks to this method or severe discomfort. I just inserted the catheter into its usual position in the cage, tightened the screw on the outside, aligned it so pointing downwards, inserted a wooden hammer handle... and just bent the catheter down to the desired angle rather than bending the mounting for it. But I finally understood what you meant from the beginning.

member_e33d73df19 5 Sept 2026 #60

Yeah. That makes sense too. I thought the tube might be too fragile. Ive broken one at the nut end trying to remove the locknut after getting the wrong type.

After using a bent tube in several different units (some worked better than others), I was trying to find a U-tube that was comfortable and compatible with different cages. Searching around, I found several with permanent balls or "ends" so they would not let them go inside me or slip out of the cage. I ordered two that fit nicely; I use the longer one for the longer cages finding that with a snug glans ring (not attached to the cage) really made a difference in sensations and keeping me centered, filling the cage properly. With my shorter cages I used one about 3.5 inches long with a flat head. Immediately liked it: no more pinching at odd times, mostly when flexing or picking up something heavy; wearing with the mounted glans ring unit keeps me aimed perfectly between the bars. I was able to start using the ten mm wide tube which stopped 90% of leakage having only one complaint—the 3mm opening seemed too small. A few days ago I drilled out the hole slightly larger than 4mm and now my flow issues have stopped with no leakage under pressure. It seems odd not to have it attached, but since its loose and longer than the unit I cannot pull off the U-tube while caged; it just wont let me pull it all the way out. With the U-tube loose Ive had no more pinching issues only occasionally hearing a light ticking noise (rarely) which I found very exciting. Having the U-tube mounted to the cage isn't the only option. With the setup now, The larger opening with wide collar at end of U-tube keeps everything lined up and neat. Haven't tried it yet but think I could pee standing up. Enjoying experimenting still; messing with long tube with its own glans ring under cages. It's fun because I can lock the glans ring bar to the cage bar keeping it in place while adding another locked-on part (padlocks aren't perfect). Looking for options. Has anyone else had flow issues? Just felt like I couldn't fully empty bladder with smaller opening in tube. Thanks, hope everyone has a good new year. Mikel

So a little update. The original comfy cage which I took such pains to get used to has been replaced mainly with a two cm jobbie. No Problems still. This cage will be on permanently for a seven week period with non-unlocking for any reason whatsoever of course hoping there is wiggle room. Just a bit would be nice.

Hi Dervil I got mine from e-bay, etsy and amazon. They were not expensive giving me to opportunity to get a lot of different kinds and sizes. I haven't found a "good" source mainly because when I have looked at them they weren't what I wanted or the site had same as others listed for a whole lot more money. The tubes are pretty simple and I have had no issues with any of them as far as finish, it's a tube LOL. As long as it's smooth and clean it works. I did find while polishing one I had modified a little I could buff the stainless off whatever the inner material was, still use the tube with no issues. I was planning on locating more quality tubes when I got ready but have not yet found any I'm interested in, especially since the cheaper ones seem to be fine. Mikel

From reading around on here I’m a little nervous about using the silicone tubes, and as for myself like Mr. Pickle the entry is/was small, 5mm. I’ve been dilating I’ve gotten up to 7.5mm so I just wanted to see the different sizes available. I think the UT is the only way to go for short term and long term use. I found being able to back out of the devices makes them pretty much useless.

member_e33d73df19 6 Sept 2026 #66

I have only seen a few and some not so good. Ternence have some available that are decent. I have ordered the following cage simply for the urethral. Shame I couldn't find it separately but it has the flared base which I like so ill give it a try with that cage and the flat.

member_c15823c046 6 Sept 2026 #67

This is the one I'm using right now from amazon, I couldn't get a proper link so I copied the header on the ad. "(Urinary **plug** 50mm Long Stainless Steel Catheters Male Sound urethral Dilator Inserts Penis Plug for Men, 14 Sizes Optional G010 (10mm)" Amazon has multiple options a few "sets" where you can get multiples of different sizes pretty cheap to try out. Stay away from silicone tubes, they can come apart and cause infections, I used one once long time ago and it never got comfortable either. Give them a look. Mikel

I came over here to continue on the tube subject. I tried a flat with an 8mm tube problem was a urinary mess. Several years ago I played with sounding and used a 10mm to get a snug fit. As a result I’m sure I need at least a 10 mm tube to stay pee clean. I’m sure I’m up against a custom order but $$ is an issue. I am considering a ternance product that has a restrictive ball that creates almost an inch of negativity. I was thinking that might keep me cleaner. I am eager to go flatter than my 2 cm jobby and am tired of watering my balls. I am looking for anyone’s experience in this area. I would like to make this available for her as she seems to like keeping it small. ... y-Negative I hope the link works.

Hi. Being able to pee standing up is a strong motivation to explore. And this one doesn’t have pieces in the body that might break off. But how does the tube get inserted into the penis? Just jam it in there? It looks like this one points down when the cage is against the body. Is that the correct angle? It just looks unnatural but interested to learn. Thanks.

member_25516efbd9 8 Sept 2026 #79

> . But how does the tube get inserted into the penis? I have not used this device but I do consider myself experienced with penis **plug**s and sounds. A good lube is most important. I like astroglide. Relaxing is another important factor. If you can squirt a little lube in the penis before insert this also helps. With sounding I lie on my back and let the weight of the rod do the work. As you relax it will slide in, once you’re past the narrow passage just inside the urethra everything falls into place. In time your penis also learns how to be accepting.

member_e33d73df19 8 Sept 2026 #80

I just use spit lol. It slides in quite easily. The urethral runs along the bottom of your penis after leaving the glands. Longer uretheral have to have a bend. Normally the penis isnt erext and straight when caged.

For those embarking on the "Urethral tube" journey let me share my experience. This is just a newbs observations... If you've never had anything inside their dick, like myself, it's different, that's for sure. I purchased this cage per Mr Pickle’s recommendation. Also, got this stainless steel urethral dilator set stainless steel urethral dilator set.png stainless steel urethral dilator set.png (138.65 KiB) Viewed 115069 times at the same time and glad I did because there was no way the tube that came with the cage was going to fit in my cock! I tried the dilators about a week ago (uncaged). The 5 & 6 mm went in easy and 7 mm with a little help. The 7 was difficult to pull back out. Almost like it was stuck. Fortunately, a little bit of deep breathing and small twisting motions and out it came (I’ve also since learned that urinating will “reactivate” the lube and assist in removal). So this morning I Inserted the 6mm urethral dilator and had it in for most of the day. I took it out to use the facilities the first time but the second time I left it in. Some urine sprayed out around the sides of the dilator but not a lot. The inner diameter for most of these dilators is just under 3 mm. Ultimately, want to get to 8mm so I can use the urethral tube that came with the cage, which incidentally, has an inner diameter of 3.5 mm Have a little ways to go to that point. It definitely let me know it was there but other than feeling strange (never had anything inside my dick before) was not unpleasant. I’ll update as this adventure continues. Sincerely, D.

This is an excellent thread, thanks so much for everybody's input so far. I have always liked ball trap devices, but don't like how easy it is to escape, so a stainless steel urethral sound could be perfect next step before having to brave a PA piercing...

A new uretheral has arrived. As you can see it is ribbed and flared at the base. Both these features are good for peeing without dripping. But it is long compared to the one I use (right), which in the mini dome would be uncomfortable maybe even painful after a while. I can't test it unless I can get permision to swap to the minidome for a couple of days, but I think I will have to make it shorter anyway. Will update if permision is granted for research purposes. Due to holidays that wont be for at least a week or two. If I am brave enough to risk asking lol 20250219_181939.png 20250219_181939.png (577.8 KiB) Viewed 114896 times
