Metal cage design with a medium urethral opening?

Hello everyone! It’s been a while. I’ve been popping in occasionally to lurk, but mostly stepped back from the scene after my last split. Now though, I’m engaged and we’re diving into this classic kink of mine. Playing solo was something I did before, but it makes quite a difference with a real partner there.

I’m running into that same problem I wrote about ages ago in the journal here: when arousal spikes, the glans pushes out through the urethral opening and “mushrooms” (I hope someone hasn’t already claimed that word for this!). Since I’m uncut, the foreskin tends to lag behind.

It can hurt a bit, but mostly it feels like numbness creeping in, along with a strange tingling sensation down my thighs. It definitely doesn’t feel secure.

To me, there are two culprits:

1. The urethral opening seems too wide for all the devices I’ve tested—this includes the A273 Chinese model, a metal Cobra clone, and both the original HTv4 as well as a metal HTv5 knockoff.
2. I use a waist strap to hold the device tight against my body. Without it, even rings that fit snugly around me will push outward, clamping down on my scrotum with an iron-grip squeeze.

As a grower, my erections are notably larger and firmer when I’m with my fiancée compared to being alone, which triggers this issue. I don’t want to abandon metal cages since that’s what I prefer; I just haven’t quite nailed down the perfect size yet for ordering custom work given the price tag. Maybe later on, once I find something about 80% there.

So here is what I need:

• A metal cage with an open design (the closed tube style of HT doesn’t suit me).
• An urethral hole large enough to urinate comfortably and cleanly while sitting down.
• But not so wide that the glans pokes through like a mushroom.
• Ergonomic rings (standard circular ones don’t work for me; I really love the HT-style fit).

I’ve attached a photo of my modified A273 with red lines showing how I think we might prevent the full push-through. Unfortunately, I’m no welder and haven’t found any kink-friendly welders nearby to help modify my current devices.

I’d rather avoid DIY fixes like plastic or rubber inserts—I struggle with those materials. It’s a tall order perhaps, but maybe there’s an off-the-shelf device close enough that it could serve as the base for a custom piece down the road. This community is one of the few where I trust members not to over-complicate things and have enough experience that someone here might possess better knowledge or DHgate-hunting skills than myself.

Any recommendations or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

That's one heck of a big slot to push through. Seems to me that I remember somebody here knowing how to weld SS, but I can't remember *who*. Even in the HTv5, it's pretty bad not as bad as the Cobra/A273, where it's the whole head pushing through. Like, the entirety of it, and then the rest is squeezed into the hole. With the HT, it's just the tip, but it still "mushrooms" and I get a weird tingly feeling in my thighs that feels like my body is saying that something is wrong.:|

Have you considered an actual urethral tube or a plug? Then the hole is tiny. Like just enough for the pee to pass through. This is the one I wear. It honestly the comfiest I've had by far. Worn it well over a year now apart from treat release. ... thral-tube

It's a very, very tough thing to "swallow" for me.

I'm a 'grower' too but I think, if I recall correctly, you've got about an additional 35% on me...are you pretty well 'crammed' in there without much room at all left over?

Since I'm a grower, I fit inside like crumpled fabric rather than being Cramed. The cage is broader than my frame, and the urethral piece keeps me clear of the bars. Of course, even slight arousal leads to feeling Cramed. The total width including the ring measures roughly 3". My erect length hovers around 8", though I'm more like 4 or 5 inches when relaxed. In cold or nervous states, I can shrink down to about 2.5". I wouldn't say I have exceptional size; my shape is longer but quite slender, which makes the 40mm ring a good fit. People mention it's great for anal use, though I doubt I'll ever find that particular niche 🙄

Anal is probably not in my future either, but it doesn't bother me since I lack the urge... if a woman ever asked, I wouldn't say no, but honestly, I've always been happy with vaginal intercourse or oral sex—even just hand jobs work fine for me.
