Micro Cages and the Urination Challenge

Throughout my time in chastity, I’ve moved from a standard cobra cage down to small and nano sizes. I’ve attempted to switch to micro cages multiple times, but the real question is how do you urinate properly? With a flat-style cage, it seems to sink into my scrotum until it’s barely visible. When I pee while wearing one, urine just dribbles all over my testicles. For hygiene reasons, I often stop using the cage and revert to the cobra model. However, I really want to make the micro cage work because my wife (or ky) loves the “chastity shrinkage” look and wants it to last.
I am currently wearing a Cherry Keeper micro cage. Typically, the skin from the sides of my penis slides forward entirely covering the device, leaving it looking like I have nothing but scrotum. To pee, I pull that skin back, much like you would with a foreskin. Sitting down is definitely necessary for this process. That said, I really enjoy the aesthetic of micro cages, so putting in the effort is worth it to me. I agree with the point about flat cages potentially having hygiene issues.
I am so petite that any cage fitting me gets nestled right into my balls. I end up peeing directly onto my scrotum; there is no stopping it, nor can I pee while standing. Is this a problem? Not for me—I love being small and all the benefits that come with it, including submissive headspace (so). I just find these factors enhance my sense of submission. As long as I sit to urinate and wipe up thoroughly like a lady, I am happy! Even if the cage is off occasionally, I still prefer sitting. MsM’s ld
Haha, I also sit to pee. In fact, I’ve caught myself sitting down even on the rare times when my cage is unlocked. I was just wondering if I were doing something wrong, but it sounds like I am not; hygiene seems more of a worry than an actual issue for those who follow the "chastity shrinkage" (CS) approach of lock-and-forget, even during cleaning routines.
You could consider a model with a UI ("Urethral insert"). Even flat cages can feature some type of spout, though most are quite small. Take a look around; I use a UI myself and have never encountered problems, although it is worth noting that I don't strictly wear a micro cage. Eddie

Standing up to urinate works perfectly fine for me.
Thank you for the tips, but I am a bit puzzled about how a urethral insert actually helps. My specific issue with the micro cage is that excess scrotal skin covers over the device itself. Does the UI push the cage forward sufficiently to allow standing urination? I don't strictly need to stand; I just dislike having urine spray all over my balls. Additionally, my ky isn’t keen on unlocking me even for showers.
I also have a steel urethral tube screwed into my inverted cage. It facilitates a normal urine stream and doesn't cause leaks afterward. When I pee, I pull my balls back as well. This method allows for standing urination too, so you don’t end up with that "balls-to-balls" spray.
I have been testing out two of the Ternence micro cages: The smallest and the second-smallest. I purchased a single ring for them, along with separate micro cage bodies that have matching pin spacing. Aside from the pins being somewhat loose and prone to pinching my skin, urination is the biggest hurdle; it feels like there is urinary restriction while wearing one. I notice more pressure building up before urine starts flowing, and the flow stops earlier than usual, leaving me feeling like some urine remains inside. It seems the micro cage compresses my urethra, hindering free flow. I suspect either a wider micro cage or perhaps a catheter might resolve this. I haven’t come across this specific issue reported often with micro cages before. Has anyone else experienced it?
I tried a short cage previously, though not quite as small as a true micro. It was about 1 inch long compared to my usual 2-inch length. The diameter was larger than normal too. I had the same problem and removed it after just 20 minutes. Back to the reliable and comfortable Jailbird.

It was way too painful.
I absolutely love my JailBird! I own half a dozen different devices, but the one I wear about 98% of the time is definitely the JailBird. PS - Currently typing this while wearing my JB. PPS - I still don't quite grasp where an average to larger-sized penis (perhaps 3-3.5 inches when flaccid) actually sits inside these cages.
I have an 'average' flaccid penis measuring about 3.5 inches which extends to 6.5 inches erect. I’ve been wearing a 1.25-inch cage comfortably for the past few weeks. What I did discover is that if I use lubrication, my foreskin moves around and gets pinched; without lube (except during initial application), everything works well. As for where it goes? Well, presumably it simply cannot expand to its full size while confined, much like trying to inflate a balloon inside a narrow bottle. I did try a 1-inch cage earlier, but that was one step too far. However, that specific model also had a painful hinged ring which might have contributed to the discomfort.
