I am waiting to get my hands on a new cage called the 3D Cobra. My expectation is that it will be less bulky and easier to handle than the CB6000S I’m currently wearing. More importantly, though, it should be much shorter, which hopefully means more comfort overall. The CB6000S isn’t uncomfortable by any means. Now that I’ve gotten used to it, there are moments when I completely forget it’s still on. However, despite being the shortest model in their lineup, it feels a bit long at 2.5 inches. My relaxed penis measures about 2.5 inches as well (a touch less when fully relaxed), so based on other people’s feedback, going shorter makes sense. It surprises me that they haven’t released an even shorter variant for the CB line, but apparently not. If anyone has worn a 3D Cobra and can share how it feels to wear, I’d love your thoughts. I’m also happy to discuss my own experiences if you have any questions.

The look and fit of the Cobra really appealed to me. Unfortunately, I'm part of that roughly 10% group who is allergic or highly sensitive to their black dye. So if you start feeling a burning sensation in your penis while wearing it, rest assured it's not just in your head.

member_cc31bf4706 27 Aug 2026 #3

Thanks for that useful bit of info, nosaint. I hope I don't run into a similar issue. Before the allergic reaction set in, did you get a chance to form any opinions on how it felt to wear? I suppose my wait won't be too long before finding out myself. Just curious.

I've owned two different Cobras, though I don't recall the exact sizes now. The first one was worn for a week or two without any noticeable issues. It was actually the smaller second cage that caused my reaction. I'm not sure if it was cumulative exposure from wearing both cages sequentially, or if the second one simply contained more of the chemical people react to. Kink3d does address this on their website, which is fair enough. But after reacting to that second cage, I wasn't keen on ever wearing either again. Had my reaction not happened, it was seriously going to be my go-to choice. Personally, I feel they don't mix the dye thoroughly enough. The chemical causing the reaction seems to have a different density than the rest of the dye mixture, so it tends to float up or sink down in the barrel. If you just tap open a new barrel without mixing it first, the concentration of that specific chemical will vary between the top and bottom.

To have worn one for a couple of weeks and considered it your 'go to' cage says there were plenty of positives. It's too bad the negative aspect was significant enough to stop you from continuing with them. Thanks again for sharing.

I liked the cobra too but had similar reactions to the dye. I didn't expect it because I'd tried a black cage before, though that one was made of different material—more hard plastic than resin like the cobra is. Since I wasn't aware of the difference at the time, after removing it and letting my skin settle, I tried wearing it again and had the same reaction, so I never bothered with it afterward. BUT, I did really like how comfortable it felt while on. Good Luck Mikel

member_cc31bf4706 29 Aug 2026 #7

Thank you, Mikel. The info about comfort is encouraging, but the skin reactions don't sound great. I hope I can avoid that and actually get some use out of it.

I believe they also offer white, pink, and metal versions. If the cobra offered an option for a steel urethral insert, I'd buy one.

member_c5a7c75d7b 30 Aug 2026 #9

I love the shape and design of the Cobra. It curves downward sharply, pressing my penis somewhat into my scrotum and separating my balls a bit. Even though I enjoy the weight of my JailBird, as a change, I really appreciate how light the Cobra is. It's almost invisible unless your penis tries to erect. When that happens, the forced shape seems to make the experience even more distinct.

member_cc31bf4706 30 Aug 2026 #10

"somewhat smushed" is a great description. I noticed that interesting shape and assumed it would feel quite light. As you might have read elsewhere, my main reason for choosing the cobra over what I'm currently wearing (the CB6000S) was needing something much shorter. I see you had a 6000S in the past but it broke down. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on that model before it met its demise.

member_7cd1285cb5 30 Aug 2026 #11

Just to clear up some misinformation in this thread... The Cobra isn't made with resin and isn't "cured"; it's created from a polymer powder that gets fused together. I wouldn't trust cages printed as biocompatible resin too much, since real biocompatible resin is less common than the standard Nylon PA12 used for printing. Any shop doing knockoff resin printing is likely cutting corners. The dye allergy is quite common and not exclusive to cages or plastics. People experience similar reactions with cosmetics that use comparable dye bases. If you are allergic to the black Cobras, I have an undyed version of my Evo specifically for this reason - which I might add is also a better cage anyway;) However, if you know exactly which Cobra design suits you, I believe their newly released pink cages shouldn't cause the same issue because the allergy usually stems from a chemical in the dark dyes. > Mr Pickle wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 2:09 pm > I believe they do a white, pink and metal version also. > If the cobra had an option to add a steel urethral I would own one. Authentic Cobras only come in black and pink. I think they tested a white cage way back but it never entered full production. The rest are knockoffs, so quality can be mixed there too. Also, the cobrachastity site is a scammy knockoff shop; don't order from them directly. They sell exclusively on their own site () and through a few established retailers.

Thank you for the info, BlackoutDevices. I guess I'll just have to see how things go when my order arrives, which should be within the next 3-4 days.

My reason for choosing it as you might have read already is that I need something much shorter than that CB6000S that I am currently wearing. I note that you had a 6000S in the past but it broke. I would be interested to hear what you thought of it before catastrophe occurred. Except for the Curve model, all CB products have an inside diameter of 1 3/8". I need 1 1/2". You'd probably be as surprised as I was at how much difference that 1/8" makes. With a 1 3/8" diameter, skin pokes through the holes and gets rubbed or pinched occasionally, and my urethra can get compressed. Having an enlarged prostate means I don't need any extra trouble starting or maintaining my stream. Consequently, I didn't wear the CB6000S often or for long stretches, but it split anyway. The mistake was wearing it to bed one night; my morning wood erection attempt caused the split and pinched me painfully enough to wake me up. I did buy another Curve because it allows partial erections by forcing them down that curve. It's a pretty cool feeling I enjoy every now and then. Otherwise, CB products aren't really for me, except I think they are good for beginners who want to experiment with different ring sizes and gap spacers.

member_cc31bf4706 1 Sept 2026 #15

Thanks WifeIsVanilla. I don't even want to think about getting pinched by a split cage! I agree with your comment that the CB range is good for beginners still experimenting. I count myself as a beginner, although this is my second time around; the first dabbling attempt was largely unsuccessful.

member_cc31bf4706 1 Sept 2026 #16

I find myself wondering how common it is for CB cages to split. I seem to have read a few reports of this happening, which isn't very reassuring since that's exactly what I'm wearing as I write... Maybe metal would be the safer choice.

member_c5a7c75d7b 1 Sept 2026 #17

Over the last 12 years or so, I've seen plenty of reports about CBs splitting. I have never seen a report mentioning a Cobra split.

member_cc31bf4706 2 Sept 2026 #18

That's useful to know, thank you. Hoping the Cobra turns out to be a good choice. Otherwise I'll be looking again.

If you purchased the right size, I expect that you will be very happy with it.

Kind of. Mine doesn't have quite as flat a front, and it definitely does not feature a picture of a snake on it.:)

That's a new one... that represents their attempt at a ripoff mashup of my Sport cage. Though looking closer, they do have the "full" version of my Sport. They love laser scanning products and then combining them with others to create whatever crazy product comes out.

I got the cobra snug and tight as my first proper purchases after trying a knockoff CB-3000 style one. I have no issues with them after a week of mostly wearing the snug fit. It's comfortable, fits well, isn't too heavy, and has no pinching. My only disappointment is the look; it's a dull black which feels a bit underwhelming. The shape is interesting though, with a ridge on top inside the sung that I find quite pleasurable.

First discovery was how carefully and accurately they created that internal space to match its inmate. It's secure without compromising comfort. Second discovery was how effective that ridge actually is. It provides pleasure when you get hard, but it also helps hold the head of your cock in place, I think. Again, positioned carefully for a practical purpose while being frustratingly pleasurable at the same time. All in all, I think the design is brilliant.

"frustratingly pleasurable at the same time" exactly right, I've noticed when sitting down that there's a little pressure pushing me forward. I can feel myself getting wet.

Nice to know it's pleasurable and frustrating simultaneously. Without the ridge, sensation would be even more lacking. They thought everything through with the Cobra design, didn't they? Herbi is enjoying a few days under the ridge for a change. The deep vacuum of space feels empty when unaroused but interesting as he grows into that small space. There's just enough room to hold him firmly without movement, thus preventing rubbing and friction. Enough to keep him firm and frustrated, but not so much that he bubbles over. Oh yes, I'm a fan of the Cobra.

I'm loving it and switch between two sizes depending on how frustrated I want to feel. I'm new to chastity, only been wearing for a few weeks now but already wondering why it took me so long. A guy I chatted with recommended the cobra, and his advice was spot on. The sensation of needing to touch while preventing myself is unlike anything else. Next up, I think I want something metal.

I'm seeking some advice on sizing and shape... (the classic question) I began with a generic cage; it was clearly too large and caused chafing, but worked okay for shorter periods. Next I moved up to an imitation Cobra cage ( ... asin_title)( in both nano and small sizes. Both fit tighter than my flaccid state, but the nano felt most comfortable because it allowed almost no movement when worn with a strap. However, I've noticed that after 24 hours wearing the nano Cobra, edema or fluid buildup occurs, which clears up once I remove the cage. The Cobra design seems like a solid winner. They now offer very similar models with the same minimalist lock and curved ring (features I appreciate), sharing a general shape but differing in openness: one is more open (model x) while another features a honeycomb texture that encloses it completely. Since my edema appears around those open holes, I'm leaning two ways... closed styles like the honeycomb might prevent skin bulging, whereas open ones could promote blood flow to avoid buildup entirely. What do others think? Has anyone tested these alternative Cobras? (Two links below for the honeycomb and model x) Honeycomb- ( ... C87&sr=8-2)( Model X - ( ... C70&sr=8-2)(

If you enjoy the imitations and have your standard sizes sorted out, I suggest opting for a genuine kink3d. The improvement in comfort during extended wear compared to the copies is remarkable.

The improvement in comfort during extended wear compared to the copies is remarkable. While I'd love to support small product development, paying over $200 is tough to swallow, especially before accounting for shipping and customs fees to the UK. Since I'm only a few months into this journey, maybe it's something for later. For now, the knock-offs let me explore at a much lower cost, and honestly, my complaints about them are minor so far.

I've been lurking while locked for a long time. I need to switch to a plastic cage to return to being locked around the clock (since that's what my wife prefers). I’ve had to remove my metal malechastitynow cage, which has served us well over several years by keeping all my romantic and sexual thoughts focused on her, because random metal detector checks were introduced at work a few months ago.
