It seems like fresh hardware developments are on the way. Given that modern technology is shrinking, we have excellent wireless options for both short and long ranges, solid battery advancements, smartphones, internet connectivity, and accessible 3D printing for design and fabrication—even for non-professionals. All this suggests that more intriguing hardware choices will appear, offering greater variety and quality than just “The CellMate”. I would also enjoy seeing more mainstream coverage of this specific kink or the emergence of high-quality new blogs focused on it. That’s my two cents—I look forward to something new: )

I work in wearable device research (wristbands and glasses mostly, not cages:) ). There is a wealth of promising technology. We are developing a wristband that picks up nerve impulses through the wrist; even a slight finger movement can generate a signal. In some cases, simply *thinking* about moving your finger creates enough activity for us to detect it. Picture a shock cage triggered by your keyholder making a subtle gesture with her finger. Additionally, we have haptics like squeeze actuators—a different small motion from her could cause the base ring to compress your testicles. The hurdle is cost; developing these isn't cheap. Designing, prototyping, and functionalizing them can exceed ten million dollars. Manufacturing remains costly until production reaches hundreds of thousands of units. I could create a truly diabolical yet enjoyable device, but it would run $10k to $20k per unit. Then there is the battery issue. Any electronic component needs power, specifically a small, potent battery that won't catch fire (you certainly don't want a Lithium-Ion cell attached to your body, particularly *that* area) while remaining safe. Still, the future looks bright.
