Right now my wife locks me away for stretches of days at a time, which has taken about two years to get her on board with. She insists I take the device off when we go out. Has anyone else faced this same issue? If so, how did you persuade her? I use a CB6000 that conceals itself very well. She was actually surprised the first time she saw it worn…

I've encountered similar hurdles with my wife. Initially, she was quite anxious about me heading out while locked because of safety worries, specifically the risk of a car crash. I assured her that short local trips would be fine for me. We agreed that I wouldn't wear it on longer highway journeys where an impact to the device could be more serious. Since I don't drive on highways very frequently, this hasn't been much of a hassle. My reasoning was that getting into a minor fender bender during a short trip is highly unlikely to cause her any real trouble;) If you do frequent high-speed highway driving, this approach might not suit you best. Good luck!

What reason does she give for not wanting you out of the house with it on? I can see where danj's wife is coming from; it makes sense to be cautious about your safety. If that is indeed her main worry, then his strategy seems sound. Evaluate the risk and try to minimize it as much as possible. If she worries more about someone spotting the device, you might handle that in a similar fashion. Perhaps there are certain conditions under which going out publicly would be acceptable. You could start by only wearing it when dressed in the most concealing outfits or visiting places where being unnoticed is likely. Personally, I don't think either of these worries should cause too much concern unless you're engaging in something extreme. I am locked up pretty much 24/7 and have a fairly physical job. Plus, I interact with many people, sometimes in close quarters. I've never had anyone notice or bump into me significantly. Even if they did, there's almost no chance they'd realize what it is. There was only one occasion where I felt some discomfort; I was squeezing through a gate while trying to keep the dog inside. The edge of the gate caught on my jailbird and tugged a bit. It wasn't tragic, just slightly uncomfortable. Best wishes with your situation and welcome here. -A

A few nights back, my wife and I had a conversation that might apply here. This happened after she finished Sarah Jameson's e-book "Be Careful What You Ask For" and it focused on our earlier attempt at chastity and why things didn't go as planned. I'll admit openly that my first approach to male chastity wasn't very well considered and was quite self-centered. Essentially, I purchased a device, put it on, and announced "Surprise!" While we had discussed chastity before in general terms, we hadn't truly agreed to move forward with it together, nor did we establish clear expectations or ground rules. Her reaction was somewhat positive, but she wasn't really invested in the concept overall. As she told me later, she felt like "OK, so you want your penis locked up... whatever makes you happy." In other words, she saw it as something she was doing merely to please me, with nothing much gained for herself. By contrast, now that she has a much clearer understanding and we are having honest adult discussions about it (and more), she is genuinely VERY interested. Last night, she had me sit down with her laptop and open up various chastity device manufacturer websites so THAT SHE could see what they look like and decide WHAT SHE wants locked on me. So, my advice to you is to shift this from being something she does for your benefit into something that allows her to become truly engaged. I'm not trying to favor one side over the other, but we REALLY found that aforementioned book helpful because it explained the male chastity idea in terms she could grasp easily. To add to that, I learned and realized a lot about what I personally wanted as well. Something to consider.

Thanks for the helpful advice. I believe my wife's concern stems from a potential accident where I might need to visit our local emergency room, especially since she works in healthcare and has many acquaintances there. She isn't fully on board yet but is willing to lock me up and let me out when needed. In fact, she enjoys teasing me while the device is secured. However, I'm still figuring out how to ease her fears about this...

Someone with hospital experience likely completed a rotation through an emergency department during their training. This background should reassure her; ER staff are accustomed to encountering "interesting" conditions, so your situation would barely warrant a glance.

When she worries about driving or other activities, try this: Attach a note to the lock indicating something like "key is in my wallet." Place your emergency key inside your wallet. This ensures that even if you are temporarily incapacitated after an accident, any helper can quickly unlock you. It also shows you're playing it safe and SSC. K

My wife agreed last night that she will send me a text on the first of next month specifying how many nights I need to stay locked. I mentioned it could range from one to thirty, and she replied, "30 sounds great." What have I gotten myself into! I don't want to push the 24/7 routine too hard while things are going well; it took me two years just to get her to agree to locking me up initially. Thanks for the advice—I'll definitely keep reading, as there are some excellent ideas coming from this forum...

Emergency room physicians have witnessed far worse. Patients frequently arrive with bizarre objects lodged in their rectum that they cannot remove. You don't even need to carry a spare key yourself. Trust me, ERs are well-stocked with tools capable of cutting through the cheap locks these devices typically use. You could literally Dremel the lock off in about 30 seconds or snap it in half using bolt cutters, or simply snip the locking pin with heavy scissors. Trust me again: if an auto accident requires doctors to remove your device, they can handle it. You might get a smirk or a sideways glance, but trust me—they've seen worse. It's harmless sexual play between consenting adults. It is much easier for a doctor to overlook you wearing a chastity device than dealing with someone who comes in with their face smashed after being caught raping a 13-year-old child. Doctors aren't very sympathetic toward that sort of nonsense. They tend to work slower and withhold pain medication from those patients.

Frankly, this "all the time" notion feels like an urban legend. Supposedly Richard Gere visited an ER with a rat up his rear (though Snopes says that's not true), and ever since then every ER in America has had a steady parade of men dealing with everything from lightbulbs to alligators stuck inside them. My own limited experience with the ER leads me to doubt this is really so common. > Far easier for a doctor to get over your wearing a chastity device than if you were to come into the ER with a smashed face for getting caught raping a 13yr old kid. Docs don't have much sympathy for that kind of crap. They work slower and don't administer much pain meds for those types of patients. Are you actually a physician? Do you speak from experience or just opinion? As someone in the healthcare field, I find this statement both untruthful and somewhat distasteful based on my own time working here. L

Thanks for all the responses. I feel like I've set my wife on the right path regarding this. She now enjoys having me in the cage while we are at home. She particularly likes that she gets fun from using my tongue, even though I am being denied; what pleases her most is knowing that I enjoy it too, despite her claiming not to understand why. I think pushing for more right now might undermine the progress we've made so far. My wife has requested I remain locked up for ten days at present, and she suggests thirty next time around since I rarely get a chance to masturbate when away from home anyway. Thank you once again for your replies.

My wife has two problems that others might pick up on, plus her sense of guilt about being so strict. I can grasp the first one; as for the second, it becomes a problem at times. chastehubby
