Assistance locating a post that was saved

I composed a short fictional piece and accidentally lost it when I clicked submit. So I wrote it all over again, making sure to save this time around. But now the problem is locating it so I can move it back into the fiction section. Could someone point me in the right direction or has it disappeared for good?

I'm not certain if there's a simpler method, but here is my approach. Start by clicking **"User Control Panel",** which sits at the top of the page. Then select **"Manage Drafts"** from the menu on the left. Next, click on **"Draft"** The saved drafts should appear in a list before you. To find your specific draft, look to the right-center area for the column labeled **"SAVED AT"**. Below that header is the option **"Load Draft" Click it and your draft will reappear.

I see now.:oops: The feature only applies to new posts, not edits made to existing ones, and naturally, it requires you have actually hit the save button in the first place. This is likely why I often write longer messages outside the forum—on Google Docs or my blog—and then paste the text into a post.

I usually take that same approach in Word before copying and pasting it here. It really helps with my spelling.:lol:

Thank you "Locked By LRC" I followed the steps one by one and managed to locate my saved draft so it could be posted in the fiction area. Thanks for taking the time to walk me through each step. "Tom Allen" thank you as well for suggesting typing it up in Word, saving it there first, then cutting and pasting it into the correct spot on this forum. Have a wonderful day.
