Does anyone have some suggestions for punishment ideas or links and books where I can find punishments to recommend my girlfriend read?

I think most punishment depends on the person's imagination. For me, being made to do gardening counts as a penalty because I hate it! But if you mean in a sexual context, it could be something like having to clean up your own cum.

I really enjoy the Slave Training website; it offers a very sensible, logical, and coherent approach to both discipline and punishment. I did another quick search online and was surprised by how much nonsense came up... A sensible attitude toward discipline and punishment is essential! Keep in mind that Emergency Rooms see some odd cases—you don't want your relationship to become one of them! Regarding books, I'm a bit out of practice and plan to reread and review soon. Titles like The Topping Book, Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns, and The Art of Sensual Female Dominance... I believe these all have sections covering punishments. And pet is right; punishments are quite individualistic. Some slaves love pain and can be hard to punish through spanking or caning.

I think it's a good purchase if you're looking to introduce chastity and help her gain confidence as a Keyholder. However, regarding the Domme aspect of punishment and discipline specifically, it might not be the perfect fit. It is an essential book for every Keyholder, but it doesn't cover everything there is to learn... though what does?

One person's idea of punishment can be another's reward. While all the books mentioned offer guidance on implementing various punishments, not many detail how to reach an agreement between slave and Mistress about which types are suitable. Although the ideas in how-to guides can be very compelling, this topic is best explored through plenty of discussion and consideration by both Mistress and slave. From my own experience, my concepts of punishment (spank me! spank me!) were quite different from her Mistress' concepts (massage her aching feet while watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy with her). Oh the horror!:wink: It takes quite a bit of talking as well as trial and error to find punishment methods that satisfy the Mistress while meeting the slave's desire to feel at her mercy. Punishment comes from the mind of the Mistress. Books provide general ideas and show how others have done it. A Mistress and slave must discuss this and find what is acceptable to both. For me, another week or two before release, or wearing a large butt plug all day, counts as punishment.
