Question

I've got it riveted shut in my MM JB as of Friday. It's proving difficult to remove now.
How long should I remain locked up?

It is definitely riveted.. Just leave it like that:-)
Once I get mine set up, that seems possible for me once the fit is right... I'd prefer to go without a key ... Besides a drill of course ..;-)
And Miss K wouldn't have to worry about keeping track of some tiny little key..

What sort of rivet are you using? Is it a pop rivet or a solid aircraft one?

It is mostly a pop rivet, since this was my first time doing it as an experiment.

WOW!!....That sounds very exciting. I wanted to do that with the last device i wore & even found a website that had vandal-proof hardware that looked good. There is a bolt that has a break away nut that once tightened to a certain limit, the part that the wrench grips snaps off. This leaves the bolt in place with no way to remove it.
Good luck with the riveted method & stay locked up for a looooong time.

The button head shear bolts look to be quite the long term especially when a little locktite is applied to the threads.

The sole issue with button head bolts is that they aren't manufactured small enough to suit most devices.

Denial offers a fantastic sensation. For me, it feels about 75% as pleasurable as an orgasm, but lasts significantly longer. I don't believe I can manage the psychological side of permanent denial, though riveting on your JB could lead there if you wish.
So to answer your question, how does six months sound? lol
