Hello everyone on this site. As I read through the posts here, many veteran members are creating new threads. Hmmm…I thought to myself. When did our greeting thread turn into a catch-all hangout? Older members share updates about their chastity belt experiences and various other topics. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not clearing out these threads or being difficult. There are specific sections for most of this content, with different “rooms” available if you prefer to start fresh. My plan is to relocate posts and discussions from the foyer into their correct rooms once identified. Redirect links will remain active for 16 days before moving entirely out of the main area. I believe it’s time we gradually step back from this lobby so newcomers can receive a proper welcome. It becomes hard to spot those shy, new visitors when they are surrounded by lively regulars. Actually, newer members are posting but getting lost in the crowd without being noticed! It would be embarrassing if we look like bad hosts while remaining here. We might get glances from others if this continues. This IS supposed to be a very welcoming Kindly typed site on the web, right? We must keep it that way. I hope we can preserve this space and clean off the welcome mat so our new guests can introduce themselves more easily. What do you think? Seems okay to you all? Best regards, sk

hope it works, I generally look in this one place, its a large website to find your way around. Maybe I should look into the other rooms too

My professional opinion, which is not worth much, is that the first page of the list of rooms on the forum is cute but not descriptive. How is anyone to know what goes in the Powder Room? Toilet sex posts perhaps?. Same for Foyer and all the rest. No correlation to their content at all. Your web site assumes that visitors are going to click on each room to see what goes where and then memorize it all the next time they visit in a week or two or more from now. Since most go to many forums and websites, asking them to remember what each room means will not work out well and produce the kind of problem you are having. My suggestion is to put what goes in each room on your main forum page under the room name rather than requiring the users to click on each to find out. I know that after coming here a lot, I still do not know what goes where so I just post in The Tower. Life is too short to memorize what each room is for plus at my age, I would only forget in a few hours anyway.:) Hope this helps as it is a common problem that I ran into as a consultant to companies with ecommerce websites. You have to make it easy for the web visitors rather than ask them to work to get where they want to go.:)

Did you just add the pop up window when I do a mouse over the room name? If it has always been there, you may want to mention it to website visitors because there was no indication that I could do that so I never tried.:)

Hi Rocky, that’s why no one can really get cranky about all this. The info has always been there by mousing over and hovering but it takes too long for most people to see it. I have asked admin to put back the descriptions that used to be there. If you signed up to this site anytime after a certain set of upgrades there is no easy way to know what its what. So as sort of an old timer I knew the order of the rooms. I lurked from the very moment of this sites inception and watched it for a while before joining so all the names are cute but I remember the original meanings. Anyway, I think the most helpful and civilized way to deal with it is by using the redirects and staying nice. Because like you said, people don’t know what the names mean. Not to forget the issue of mobile devices which do not allow the luxury of hovering your mouse over the name for a description to pop up. I use my phone a lot now, which is why that last cryptic post was made. I was having lots of trouble and thought I cancelled the post and didn’t have time to get back here until now and look, there it still is. Anyway small stuff the most important thing is we stay friendly and safe. Cheers you lovely CM'ers
