Mature Metal discussion

Hi everyone, my KH suggested I pick up the Jail Bird this week. Before I pull the trigger, I’d like to hear what you think. Since I’m in Australia, I want to make sure I get it right on the first try… here’s where things stand so far.

A ring with a 2 1/8” diameter (for larger balls) A 1/2” gap (accommodates large and high-set balls) Cage length of 2 1/4”. (Calculated using MM’s formula: shortest flaccid length minus 1/4”) Cage diameter of 1 3/8”. (This ring size allows plenty of freedom when flaccid but holds the penis securely during engorgement)

I’m also ordering anti pull-out pins as follows: one short blunt, one medium blunt, and one short sharp. I plan to use these for cock torment rather than just for security.

Hello there! It's tricky (sic!) to give you advice since I haven't done the measuring myself!!! However... looking at your avatar, it seems you already have a device. So here is my question: How did THAT cage fit for you... And how do your MM measurements listed above compare with your current device specs? My thought process is this: if the fit was/is really good on your old device, shouldn't that serve as a solid foundation for your new MM cage.... Why reinvent the wheel when you already have a well-fitting CB...?! That's exactly my plan when I order a custom piece! With warmest regards, J.

I got good results by sticking to the MM measurement instructions. If I had it to do again, I might opt for a security screw instead of a padlock. In the end, I swapped out the stock JB padlock for one covered in plastic. Some folks find the security screw too finicky, so opinions are split on that point. What's important to note is that the MM design needs a very snug fit between the padlock shaft and the locking hole to stop it from twisting around. The original lock used to poke my thigh when I was running or doing other activities. The plastic-covered master lock has worked well for me.

Hi J, thanks for sharing!:) I used the Jailhouse as a reference point for selecting the jail Bird. The key differences between the two are: the ring is larger and the gap is wider, but the overall length is shorter. Hopefully this makes it more comfortable for long-term wear. I wore the Jailhouse for up to 12 hours at my longest. Cheers

I'll be going with a covered padlock as well, though another option is using a security screw and nut combo. I also found some sheer nuts that would work perfectly!:)

I don't own a Jailbird, but I do have a Queens Keep....which is basically the same thing with one clear difference. Like you, I have huge balls. I ordered the 2" oval ring and can barely get them to pass through. If yours are even larger, I'd strongly recommend considering these points: First, I went with their recommended standard 3/8" gap initially. I had to return it for an extra 1/8", but honestly, I don't notice much difference yet. After just a couple of days, I still get irritation where the gap sits. If you need that 2 and 1/8" ring size, go for a 5/8 gap instead. Your balls won't slip through easily. This morning I adjusted mine myself using a vice and hammer to make it look more like the steelworxx style. So now my top measurement is still 1/2", but it widens to 3/4" at the bottom. I'm planning to write up a thread about this modification. Second, if you are set on having a 1/2" gap, I really advise choosing a round ring rather than an oval one. Hope that helps.
