I just placed an order for sizing rings from Mature Metal. Now I need to decide on the actual device. It’s a toss-up between Jailbird and Queens Keep, roughly fifty-fifty. Any advice would be welcome.
The appearance is what matters most. From what I recall, the Queen's Keep doesn't curve as much for shorter cages (though it makes little difference with longer ones). Oh, and Jailbird costs a bit less:p
Go for the JB. The QK looks messy where the band meets the bars. Plus, the band is as thick as the bars, while the ring on the jb is thicker and likely more comfortable in the long run than the qk. If I had to do it again, I’d pick the jb.

Why "messy"? I have a QK (which I should sell since I sized incorrectly...) and it doesn't look messy at all.
In the area where the bars attach to the band, the welds are solid enough functionally but look quite distinct. Some form a jagged arch between the bars while others appear more "right-angled". There’s also some grinding marks on the upper section near where the post passes through. Another issue was with the top plate (where the anti-pull-out pin sits), as it had been cut diagonally. W filed it down but not completely flat. I was told that's pretty much how good they get since they're handmade.
I think the QK is quite short in length. Think about this before committing to it.
