Site announcements and information discussion

My profile indicates there are numerous messages waiting, but I’m struggling to locate them. Could someone explain how to view them? I know I can be a bit slow on the uptake, so please keep it simple.

Check the top right corner - you should see Inbox and Alerts there. Just click on Inbox:)

I clicked on the inbox, and it says I have no new conversations. I apparently didn't look down at my screen. Told you I was a bit dense. Thanks so much.

You don't actually need to click; just point your cursor at them.

I've noticed you’ve been a member for six years. Do you have six years' worth of messages piled up?

I clicked on the inbox. Only two messages appeared. One from July this year, and one from 2008 when I first joined. However, I see that there are 17 messages total. Am I missing something?? The message count has jumped up significantly just in the past week. I still can't seem to find them. It's almost as frustrating as being in chastity. Well, actually it's not even close. lol
