Female led relationships discussion

A highly regarded member recently noted that I might not fully grasp the “essence of this place.” :-) I am eager to understand better and welcome other viewpoints. What was She referring to? With deep respect and fondness,

It is hard for me to say exactly what she intended; only she can truly know that (if you didn't understand, perhaps asking via private message would clarify). However, I can share my view on 'the site's character.' My take on CM is that it leans heavily toward a UK perspective (certainly many if not all of its mods are based in the UK - and I believe so is the site itself), while still maintaining a fairly global user base. Part of this means there is a distinct left-of-center British flavor to things. Generally, we support one another, encourage each other, show interest in others and their unique ways of living, and accept differences. What we do not seem to be (or want to be) are challenging or confrontational types who point fingers and tell people they are 'doing it wrong.' There seems to be a lot of petty score-keeping happening elsewhere that does not occur here, and I hope it stays that way.

What is there to say @Sig Wyrminorb? The observation appears somewhat mysterious and perhaps encoded? You have settled into the site well over the past few weeks, posting regularly. From what you mention, you chat with people and possess a sense of humor. This is crucial on such a platform. Looking at your profile, it is a bit sparse in the About Me section, but that is entirely up to you. You lack photo albums, which might not be your style. Some folks prefer browsing photos without making posts or other contributions, but perhaps that does not interest you. A member who contributes and chats is certainly the kind of person we should encourage:)

Virginia, USA here And yes, the site Owner is located in the UK. Long ago we had a flag option for our profiles indicating your country, which would display under your picture when you posted. I am not certain if those can be restored, but I will inquire. It was a lovely feature, particularly for me since I like to know where anyone I chat with comes from. Many of you are familiar;)

Some features are missed more than others.

thank you @Mistress Michelle, @maid_carrie, and @SubVerity for your responses. I am not entirely sure what She meant, which is why I asked. I admit to being somewhat puzzled, but a Miss always has the right to leave us confused and wanting more <3

Of course Sig everyone will be baffled if you write things like that without context. What else can one expect?

This question applies to any site on the internet. It is about what you gain from the site and what you give back. Each individual must find their own consensus. Some sites sell products, some are knowledge-based, some are hostile, and some are just nonsense. What users get out of it depends on what they seek. I hope I have not offended anyone; this is simply my perspective.

Most of the dedicated members here are more open and generous than you give them credit for.. **you worm.** 3. Profit. I got confused between #2 and #3 somewhere.

Do not worry. As long as you enjoy participating in the site, others' opinions are just that—opinions. Including this one, which is my opinion. Feel free to disregard it since I have already argued for myself. But keep in mind if you do discount this opinion, you end up agreeing with it anyway; thus, it may be the only opinion you cannot truly dismiss. I think my head has just exploded.
