Hello! Could someone explain how these function? Is it possible to remove them using appropriate tools, similar to security screws used in construction where you just need the correct tool?

Yes, but it requires a somewhat unusual tool that might be hard to find. All you really need to do is hold the tip of the cage and the bottom part of the ring, then move them in opposite directions. Eventually, the screw will loosen enough for you to unscrew it by hand. It's honestly quite simple.

Hi! If you're dealing with a loosening screw, please let us know at . We have a solution for that. We can drill out one side of the locking collar attached to the top of the cage. The screw will be set deeper so pliers won't reach it, preventing loosening. The trade-off is that you lose the ability to use a lock on it.

I had MatureMetal apply their fix for the screw security lock on my Jailbird, and it hasn't loosened since. I wear it around the clock, and a mistress unlocks me once a month for shaving and play.

The screw on my Queen's Keep works perfectly. I simply cannot remove it.

@SubinMemphis Do you apply lube before inserting your security screw? If there is lube on your fingers or inside the hole, it can prevent the screw from gripping properly. Clean the screw thoroughly and try again.

No lube used. Mine isn't even the first issue; this is an old problem that usually gets resolved with Loctite. The best solution would be to have two screws placed side by side, but then they'd charge a small fortune to drill and tap it.

I ordered mine without the screw originally. It was a mistake. I threaded it myself in my workshop and purchased a security screw online. The screw is much more comfortable than the lock. It would be perfect if MM extended the tunnel where the locking post enters the cage further back to accommodate a security tag.

Hey, I have the screw option, but I might try using a lock for fun. I googled "sideways sitting" locks. I don't fully understand your example, Mistress. Could you share a link to a photo?

It only fits one way... sideways.... in other words, "sticking out to the side". It's fine around the house but feels bulky and gets in the way during the day. You'll likely return to using the screw.

William wears a lock 24/7 without any issues... Since he has access to all the security keys, he only uses a lock. You can have the corners of the lock rounded if you prefer. If you use a small lock that rotates along the length of the cage, it allows wiggle room for both the ring and cage, which prevents gaps from becoming uneven and causing problems.

Abus locks are available online. They make small brass locks that work well on MM cages. The brass ones won't rust after getting wet. This type can also be used in the tapped screw hole.
