I’ve just started exploring the realm of chastity. Previously, I used generic versions of the CB6000 and am now testing out the HTv2. My journey into this lifestyle began when my girlfriend moved away; I wanted to keep our intimacy alive across the distance.

Currently using the standard tube with a 45mm ring on the HTv2, it feels quite comfortable for everyday wear. It does sit a bit lower than I’d expect, and roughly a quarter-inch of my shaft rests outside near the base. I’ve attempted to push more of myself into the tube, but it already feels snug inside. For me, this isn’t an issue, yet when arousal hits, that exposed quarter-inches expands to about three-quarters of an inch, causing everything to pull away from my body. This results in significantly reduced blood flow to my testicles, which turn a deep blue and feel cold.

It’s confusing because there seems to be ample (perhaps even excess) space within the ring during normal daily movement, allowing it to hang low. But once arousal starts, those blue testicles appear… isn’t this typically fixed by using a larger ring? Or could switching to a smaller ring reduce that outward pull and help maintain circulation?

I’m unsure of the best path forward. I contacted the manufacturer, and they suggested that if the device hangs like mine does, I should opt for a smaller ring. However, they didn’t specifically mention the blue testicle issue.

Any advice on resolving this would be much appreciated! Sorry if this topic has been discussed before; I looked through the site but couldn’t find any mentions of blue balls potentially caused by an overly large ring.

You'll need to experiment with various combinations and ring sizes until you discover what suits your body best. Everyone's anatomy differs slightly regarding this. Regarding the blue testicles, how long do they stay that color? Do they go back to normal once the arousal subsides? I believe most men experience a bluish tint when aroused, but it usually fades away after.

Based on your description, it all seems perfectly normal. I own an HTv2 (the shorter version with a 45mm ring). From what others have shared and my own experience, it's typical for the tube to project forward noticeably when erect, just as having some exposure while flaccid is standard for HT devices. And remarkably comfortable!
