The one I’m using right now is essentially a budget-friendly version of the CB6000, giving me an internal cage length of 2.5 inches. Since I’m a grower rather than a shower, my soft state fills roughly half that space, leaving plenty of room for further growth. However, I do experience some binding issues in the cage once things get hard. I’d prefer to switch to another affordable cage (still around $100) but with a smaller footprint. It seems like most non-custom ‘small’ options are actually the same size as standard ones though. Does anyone know of any cages out there that truly have a shorter length?

Yes, shorter models exist, although they are primarily manufactured in China. You can find them on dhgate.

Check out my gallery... there are definitely shorter options available; mine came from eBay and have worked well so far!!!!
