hello everyone, for those familiar with the “kitchen safe”, it’s a plastic box featuring an electronic lock. you place items inside (such as your chastity belt key) and set a duration. once the timer reaches zero, the digital mechanism releases so you can retrieve what’s inside. this device supports durations of up to ten days. if the kitchen safe is too pricey for some, smartphone applications are available on iPhone. I discovered two options: “ichronfess” and “hatch”. an existing thread somewhere here covers ichronfess a bit already. personally, I find it somewhat confusing because you can use it either free or paid. even the complimentary version is a little complex to navigate, though fundamentally you photograph your combination lock, encrypt that image for a chosen period, and send it off (either to yourself or another person). once the time expires, decrypting the photo reveals the code so you can open the physical lock. hatch feels more straightforward. It performs the same function but allows photos or video recordings. These get encrypted by either a random interval or a fixed duration of up to thirteen months before being sent to a recipient using hatch as well (or back to yourself). The app displays how much longer until you can decrypt and view the image again. Notably, it doesn’t save your photo directly on the phone itself, so you cannot check its current state beforehand. those apps are designed specifically for iPhones. they do work somewhat on iPads as well, but their primary focus is iPhone. "ichronfess" still relies on an older apple development kit and hasn't updated its appearance to match newer standards. consequently, advertisements often appear right in the center of the screen, making it hard to tap buttons accurately. however, "hatch" operates quite smoothly. do you know any similar applications for android?

there is another app for apple devices that I came across called "timeappsule", but it isn't very good: - it's overly fancy and lacks usability. based on all my experience, "hatch" is the simplest application to use. It seems specifically designed for our needs:-) what I haven't been able to test yet is sending "hatch" messages to someone else. I want to see if the content stays hidden from both people or just the recipient. for that, I need a friend who also uses the "hatch" application...
