It looks like you'd find it simpler to pop out that small clip for freedom than cutting off a mini Master lock.

Alternatively, reverse the way you lock. Applying a bit of Locktite or epoxy will likely make what I believe is a c-clip very hard to take off. It also makes it clear if someone has messed with it. So for long-term wear, avoiding a padlock clanking around during the day could be really useful. Xx Wendy
