I have been in the lifestyle for a few years now. I was watching this place from the sidelines for a long time, but today I had an experience that everyone here might find useful.

I’ve been locked up continuously for months and knew I’d be traveling over the weekend, so I asked my wife to release me. However, in the past whenever she’s given me some leeway, I cheated and masturbated, losing my credibility. So when she said she wouldn’t be releasing me this trip and we’d just see what happened with TSA, it wasn’t good.

As a TSA PreCheck member, I only go through the metal detector. I was wearing a stainless steel chastity device from Rigid Chastity, naturally setting off the alarms. I’d done my research; everyone says to mention you’re wearing body jewelry, which I did, but they still pulled me aside anyway.

The first agent asked what was going on, and I told him straight up that it was like in 50 Shades of Grey—that my dick is pierced and I’m wearing a steel cock cage. He was very professional and said he needed to do a pat down, which I allowed without fussing; I kept things friendly. We joked about where I was headed.

The agent wasn’t sure what to do next, so he called in another guy for confirmation and performed his own pat down too. They didn’t like the feel of it, so they invoked a security code and brought over yet another agent who loudly stopped everyone in line by shouting “everyone in the terminal STOP.” Talk about embarrassment!

They escorted me to a back room where the airport manager came in, shook my hand, introduced himself, and asked for an explanation. I gave him one and he told me to wait. Another guy arrived with questions—where am I from, where am I going—and ran my info. They said they couldn’t verify exactly what it was, so I wouldn’t be permitted to fly unless I dropped my pants to show them. But they don’t do strip searches, nor did the local police who were called in say that they didn’t either.

I told them I had the key in a sealed envelope and brought along my piercing removal device since I have a CBR 6 gauge PA ring packed safely in my checked luggage; thus I could just take it off if needed. They decided to escort me out with police assistance so we could retrieve my bag together.

I explained that I was quite frustrated because as a vet and TSA PreCheck traveler, I’d been completely honest about the situation yet felt extremely embarrassed having four people in there treating me like I’m doing something illegal despite seeing on the TSA blog that it’s allowed (though I can’t find that link anymore).

After 45 minutes, they figured out I wasn’t a threat. The manager asked two of them to step aside and requested that I drop my pants so he could see clearly. Once satisfied, everyone was happy. He apologized, telling me this would happen at every airport if I wore it again, urging me not to do so unless necessary. His position is clear: responsible for passenger safety means protecting against unknowns by default.

I expressed respect and understanding for their role. They wanted me to sign a CYA document but eventually let me go.

So traveling in chastity comes with risks. This experience was awful—so embarrassing I’d rather avoid it again—but hopefully this answers some questions about what happens when you fly through the airport wearing one.

Soooo, leave extra time to deal with security?:) I feel you... I've been wanting to lock up, but we go to the amusement park frequently during summer and they have metal detectors. With a 0 gauge PA piercing, as it is now I either switch to acrylic for the day or leave the jewelry out entirely. Locking up while keeping the jewelry would only be more hassle. I suppose if my wife were acting as my Keyholder (KH), I could swap to acrylic along with using her fake CB-xxx device instead. But if it was a third-party KH, then maybe things might get trickier for me. Plus ride restraints aren't exactly PA friendly; just imagine the discomfort having that cage pressed down tight against you. With my luck, that’d be precisely the ride getting stuck on its track somewhere for hours!:D

I have always said that I would never wear my device in America or places like the Philippines for exactly the scenario you describe. Thanks for sharing the story; it was nice to get your perspective and experience.

Use a combination lock and she can give you the code to take it off right before heading through security. Re-lock as soon as you are past it and send her photo showing its done. You can also carry several keyed locks with numbers on them plus multiple keys that are laminated with paper bearing her signature so you prove you haven’t used one already. I'm not a fan of plastic devices either, preferring to avoid needing an emergency key because airports really are too much trouble otherwise.
