Mature Metal discussion

The Jailbird suits me well, but there is one issue I hope someone can clarify. It constantly tilts to my left instead of staying in the middle. The ring shape is oblong rather than oval, yet it fits perfectly. The cage feels snug without being too tight. Could the trouble lie with the ring itself or perhaps just how my body is structured?

The issue might be that the padlock is a bit thin; it's really the lock passing through both the ring and cage which keeps everything secured. I recently had mine returned from MM with a new base ring. The lock fits very tightly in its holes, which is exactly how it ought to be. If you find the lock still feels loose, trying another padlock could solve it.
