Hello all, Have you discovered any alternatives to the standard padlock? I’m considering if body jewelry might be repurposed, such as a captive bead ring. It would need to stay small enough so it doesn’t clash with the cage or create noise from excessive force, while still needing a tool for removal. Has anyone tested this approach? Do you know of any quiet methods for locking your chastity belt? Thanks:)

I go with a plastic-coated master lock. It's quieter and less jagged than the brass versions. You might try dipping your current one in plastic as well. This method also shields the key hole without blocking it. Another option is to rivet it closed.

Riveting sounds wonderful! However, since my longest period in lockup has been a month, I think starting with a coated padlock is the better move.

I can share what to avoid. Since I operate on an honor system and have no desire to cheat, we don't use a lock at all. Previously, I relied on zip ties, but worried that in an *emergency* situation, removing them would require clippers or similar tools. So, I ordered 8 gauge steel piercing barbells online to thread through the hole with a ball end screw-on cap. They looked decent and worked well, allowing removal if needed. Unfortunately, after wearing it for a few days, the ball end loosened its grip. One day, I felt true freedom when the remaining barbell piece slipped out of the hole and slid down my pant leg. That was an unsuccessful experiment. I also bought some lucite barbells in various nice colors. My wife preferred the pink one, so that's what I wore while we went about our lives. I sanded flat one side of the screw-on ball end so it wouldn't rotate when pressed firmly against my chastity belt (CB). Things were going well until one morning after trying to dry hump my wonderful wife upon waking up; she told me to get out of bed and stop. I stood, leaned back slightly, and showed her how my unusually extended groin area was pushing the entire device away from my body. At that moment, the lucite snapped, sending two pink barbell-ended bullets bouncing around the bedroom while my CB cage extended westward about four extra inches beyond its normal position. My wife laughed hysterically at what looked like a Rock 'em Sock 'em robot weenie having its head knocked off. Let's just say my erection didn't last long as she pointed and teased my package. So, no to lucite and no to steel barbells—at least not the inexpensive $3 varieties from eBay. Back to zip ties.
