Hello everyone - this message comes in two parts.

To the Women of CM: I realize some of you get bothered quite a bit, both during Conversations and in Chat. I’d like to help cut down on the habit where guys feel it’s acceptable to do so. With that goal in mind, could you please report any instances when you are being pestered? The purpose isn’t just to have people scolded off, but rather to gauge how significant the issue is and then take more proactive steps to lessen it. Part of this involves creating a new thread aimed directly at the men.

You can submit reports in Mini-Chat by clicking the small cog icon located on the top right of the blue bar, then choosing ‘report’. A text box will appear, allowing you to add some details about the incident. Unfortunately, it’s not functioning perfectly at this moment…but hopefully it should be up and running very soon. Reports within Conversation work in their standard manner.

So please keep those reports coming. If we get overwhelmed by them, that tells us there is a major issue (though we might even ask you to hold off on reporting!:))

To the Men of CM: Why do many of you assume that initiating a conversation with anyone should go something like this? “I am Sissy Dick Loser - Lock me now!” etc. What is wrong with saying, “Hi there - how are you? Do you care to chat?” If you know you fall into the guilty category, just give it some thought. The same goes for those who are new here.
