Alright, I’m nearly set to go ahead and buy a Jailbird. My measurements are all sorted out. The thing is, though—I’ve experienced some ball escapes while using my chastity belt, which left me straddling the line of being in or out. Should I choose a tighter base ring or stick with the 1/4” gap?

I switched over to this setup a few years back (using Queen's Keep), and lately I've dropped down a ring size. To start with, the steel doesn't flex quite like plastic does, so maybe it isn't really an issue for you. When I reduced my ring size, I messaged MM multiple times because occasionally one of them would slip out. She mentioned that either the ring size or the gap could be to blame. You should send her a message; she tends to reply quickly and is quite helpful. Personally, if the gap feels too tight, it gives me a burning feeling, but since I went smaller with my ring, those escapes have stopped happening. Best of luck!
