Some background about us…

In 2013 we were approached to create a male chastity belt for a client who was unhappy with the products on the market and wanted a handcrafted belt from a skilled metal worker. We set out to design and manufacture the highest quality male chastity belt we could. The initial design was researched, built, tested, reviewed, amended and so on. This went on for over a year until we were happy with what we had created. Our client was overwhelmed with what we had made and suggested that there was a need for a product of this quality in the market.

Further development then followed to design and build a modular belt; our Behind Barz Complete System that would allow people of different shapes and sizes to be able to own our creation. We consulted numerous chastity aficionados (male & female) and listened to issues they had encountered with other chastity devices and belts. We sent several prototypes across the world and finalized a design that was comfortable, functional and absolutely secure.

We thoroughly enjoy working with our clients; providing a service and building products that they love passionately.

I love the way a random request has led to such a business! Did they come to you because you had previous experience with making products for a BDSM market? You are definitely on my list of possibles when my current money flow issues are resolved. I was going to move to a metal device six months ago but 'life' keeps rearing its pimply head and getting in the way. I like the complete system with enclosed cage but if I ever do get to spend that sort of money I think a personalized fitting would be almost obligatory! Unfortunately for now I am being kept in a holy trainer for the foreseeable future. By the way you have a bad link in your post which due to the five minute edit rule you won't be able to change now. The random request was by me! I had seen some of the totally un-kink work that this chap had created and took my life in my hands and popped in to see if he could help me come up with a new idea I had for a belt. The chap had no idea these things even existed back then and it was with some trepidation that I showed him what I was referring to and it sort of went on from there with many sneaky trips back and forth to his vanilla workshop where we kept getting interrupted with folks walking in off the street with various metal bits and bobs that needed welding etc. Things have certainly moved on from those days in his new unit specially fitted out for this new thriving venture.

That is brilliant! You were so brave to approach them that way. It makes it even better knowing there is a backstory to the product like that and less scary going to actually see them for a fitting. I know that what I do isn't weird but I get the feeling most people I know wouldn't agree. To decide to just go and talk to them about your requirements was something I am guessing most of us wouldn't do.

Couldn't agree more @Jasmic68 - very quietly, and over a long period coupled with determination @slave stroppy has helped a new manufacturer come onto the somewhat barren UK CB manufacturing scene. He deserves all the recognition and accolades due to him.:)

Ooh stop it you are making me blush...........actually more than i must have been when I first ventured into the factory unit to ask the question. It seems so long ago now and I knew if I never plucked up the courage to ask then I would have had it haunt me for the rest of my life as I had a burning need to get some of my ideas put into reality. Joe and the other staff at Behindbarz are really friendly and helpful and considering none of them had any idea there were things like I was describing out there is testament to the fact of just how open minded and non judgmental they all are. If you do want to visit them at their unit I can assure you they are truly professional and you will be at ease as soon as you meet them all, they have a nice area with some of their items that you can actually pick up and handle to get a taste of just what they can create with your help. The belts are a work of art there is no mistaking that and as someone who has worn many different makes the quality is top notch. Keep an eye open on their website as things are coming out all the time to further expand and update their ever growing list of items they can and will create.

Behind bars had been great to work with so far. I ordered my belt last month and hope to have it in a few weeks. Stroppy thanks for being brave and getting this company in the market. After many belts and 5 years of trying I decided this was worth a shot. Since cages are too painful for night wear and escape issues with my my-steel, I think this is the perfect solution. I ordered the belt and cage (matte black) and very excited. So far the reviews seem very positive so great start. I will be sure to share my thoughts as soon as it arrives!
