Mrs. and I were chatting the other day about her carrying my key with her at all times. We both love this concept, but she finds it too much to wear a visible chain every single day. Sure, she does it sometimes, but for everyday life—even if most people won’t realize what it is—she’s (correctly) hesitant to risk any awkwardness in her professional or personal circles, given that she deals with hundreds of students and supervises faculty members on a daily basis. Keeping the key at home isn’t perfect since I’m always working from home. I thought about having a jeweler friend craft a pendant for Mrs. that hides the key inside, but it’s not quite enough because she likes to switch between different necklaces or sometimes skip wearing one entirely. Another idea I had was a small oval locket with a clip (similar to a pen) rather than a ring for a chain, allowing her to attach it discreetly into her bra or cleavage area. I’m curious if any other Key-Holders have found smart ways to keep their key on them during “real-world” situations?
A KH has plenty of options for carrying the key. She could use a locket, wear it on a wrist bangle or charm bracelet, keep it in her purse, attach it to earrings, or even integrate it into her everyday house keys.
Why not just leave it attached to her key ring?
I have several decorative keys and locks that I keep on a keyring which I then clip onto my purse. My husband's key is part of that collection.
We talked about that option, but it’s not quite the same because her keys and purse don’t stay close to her body. She usually leaves them in her office while she teaches. It is mostly psychological for us both, though; we really like the idea of her having the key "on" her person all day long.

Yes, but it seems *you* appreciate this more than *she* does.
