It’s been a while since I last posted here, and I raised an issue about my Neosteel belt in the right section.

the archived discussion The problem is that the tube pushes up against the skin in the crotch area where it meets the belt band, leading to irritation. I’m not exactly slim; I have a bit of a beer belly, but I’m certainly not obese. At 1.91m and 95kg, I feel my size is reasonable and I’m content with it. However, rather than getting useful feedback from actual users (until Gabby and eusebius chimed in later), the responses mostly told me to “stop eating pies,” “lose weight,” or noted that “your tummy looks big.” One of those comments even came from a moderator.

Wendygirl said: No more pies much more fresh vegetables and lots healthy excersise maybe. Click to expand… So I have to ask - is this the standard of treatment in this forum now? If so, I might withdraw more than I already have. The root cause isn’t really my weight; apparently, it’s because the belt shield is too short, as someone on Fetlife pointed out.

Correction: It appears Mascara Snake isn't a moderator anymore. She was one last time I frequented this forum regularly, so no actual moderator posted in that specific instance.

I’m sorry to see such unhelpful replies. Fortunately, the guys eventually came through with some solid suggestions. I really hope you don’t let the rudeness of a small minority stop you from enjoying the company of the majority here.

So body shaming is just making any observation that someone happens to dislike? That seems crazy to me. Bro, fuck anyone who says something you don't like and keep living your life. There's no point in worrying about it and definitely no need for whiney posts about it. On the upside, maybe this thread will bring a bunch of hits because it contains one of those douchey PC catch phrases! Those millennials sure love to be angry.

With respect, I did read the responses. If there was body shaming, it was fairly light-hearted and done in a spirit of fun. And losing weight is generally accepted as sound healthy advice, especially if you are developing a bit of a beer tummy, as you mention. It could actually be seen as concern for your well-being if you choose to view it that way. I really don't think the intent was meant to be an insult. There are some sharp wits on this site who get straight to the point in about two seconds and I enjoy their observations on life. Take it with a pinch of salt. I bet you secretly laughed while no-one was looking! All the best!
