They have officially declared that if you partake in an activity disapproved of by the authorities, even on a different platform, disciplinary measures can be taken against you. This announcement appeared in a thread where replies are closed, because opposing views are strictly forbidden! I anticipate being tagged as a ‘troublemaker’ and ‘complainer’ before this discussion gets locked or deleted, which is standard procedure here. Any crack in the veneer of our supposed unity (whether on this site or in various nations globally) often draws scorn from those defending the leadership’s choices. But let’s hold off on the criticism for a moment; I’d like everyone to consider how different this would be if it were broadened to cover political opinions or other beliefs. “If you back a specific candidate or join a certain party, I might remove your membership!”. “If you aren’t Green enough”; “If I dislike your food preferences”; “I didn’t care for a joke you made”; “If someone flags something from your Facebook profile, Twitter stream, or even an old post from five years ago on another board…”, then out you go! Some of you might feel I’m being overly critical. Am I? Or is it the concept that any action taken outside CM should impact your status here that feels ‘picky’ to some? Your behavior on other sites belongs to those managing those platforms, not our administration here. Let’s reverse the question - If I belong to “Fred’s Forum” and Fred discovers I also join a chastity board, does he have the authority to cut my membership there, even if I never mention chastity in any way? You could contend that Fred runs his forum as he pleases, which is true enough, just like it works here. But truth doesn’t always equal fairness. Would you join a forum with this rule clearly stated: “If your activities elsewhere online displease me, you can lose your membership”, would you? It remains to be seen whether our current leaders will bother informing potential new members of this or not. And naturally, some sycophantic former mods will surely begin (or keep up) their witch hunts, despite the Admin asking them to hold off. The real question is, once they start unearthing dirt on members, will he turn a blind eye? No bet needed to guess right.

Every club operates by rules. There is no mission creep in the rule you are pointing out, and I don't foresee any happening soon. If things became as absurd as you describe—with people getting banned over what they eat or how they vote—then the site would fall apart. I have no issue with this specific regulation. It seems reasonable, clearly defined, and doesn't strike me as excessive.

What are you talking about? The only recent concerns involve wishlists being posted on CM. You can do whatever you like on other websites.

@richard Findom getting banned even when it occurs elsewhere. I agree with this rule; Billus does not.

I don't really care about it generally. As the saying goes, fools and their money are easily separated. What I dislike is its connection to blackmail—blackmail is inherently negative behavior and rightly illegal. In my view, we are a chastity website, not a findomme site. There is plenty of findomme activity on Twitter and other platforms; it’s easy for people to go there to get their satisfaction. Or they could even donate that money to charity. It might make them feel better.

Of course, the suppression of free expression should NOT be accepted without question. Still, it would help if we had a link to what the original poster was referring to, so we can read and interpret it ourselves.

You can find it here: the archived discussion I knew that my policy—that outside activities could lead to banning—would cause some commotion. But I have thought about it deeply. And I stand firm in my decision. If a member on CM is involved in findom somewhere else—in hell's name, this member cannot separate that approach from their membership here. I am not THAT naive. It is very easy to catch members' attention within the site and divert them to other corners of the internet. This is one major issue, and it doesn't make sense to treat these as completely separate worlds.... And I WILL oppose findom on CM. If You want to participate in findom, go somewhere else. I can't rescue the world from it. BUT: You cannot simultaneously be a member of CM and be involved in findom. It’s that simple. If You get "caught", naturally.... We have had very few such incidents so far, so let's keep things in perspective and not launch a witch hunt against findommées. But please report to me if You learn of any Activities that could affect CM Members. Thanks:-) And all of Billus's accusations and bad mouthing must cease. It is perfectly fine if you do not approve, but smearing people like that has to stop—or I will force it to stop. Is that understood?
