Chastity and orgasm denial discussion

Hi there, I’m new here. I’ve just started using the CB6000s recently. I’m wearing the largest chastity ring in the set and while it isn’t overly tight, it’s causing quite a bit of abrasion. One time I had such a strong erection while caged that the ring left visible skin marks. The skin under the ring is now pretty tender. I wrapped some medical tape around the ring to reduce the rubbing and it has helped somewhat. Is this a normal result from getting an erection while in chastity? If so, are there any workarounds, If not, how should I adjust? Thanks for your help.
